Still no contract tho lol.
Hosting Harvard adn BU in A2?
Gues we can expect a quick trip east next year to play a split in Beantown. Gonna have to look out for that next year.
So no coach (or better: Schrodinger's coach), but a schedule. Interesting sequencing.
home and home with Western are always fun.
Glad to see LSSU back on the schedule.
just an FYI , Lindenwood is an ACHA team (not NCAA) but they're pretty good winning the national championship four times in the last 15 years, including this last March.
This fall will be their first year in D1 for hockey.
good for them. i knew they were looking into it ... glad to see it got done.
Univ of Alaska Anchorage is back playing college hockey in the NCAA after 2 years off and Stonehill is now in the NCAA as well.
Two more set to join for the 2023-24 season, as well! Augustana University and Robert Morris, the latter of which is making their return after a two year hiatus.
After those two additions, there will be 64 D-1 programs in 21 different States. That's great for all college hockey fans and especially player development.
I would enjoy seeing a B1G “round robin” tourney over a four day weekend in Chicago.
Can anyone who has been to a game at LSSU comment on the atmosphere and whether it's worth a road trip? I am familiar with the area as my grandparents used to have cottage on Whitefish Bay, and am thinking about using this event as the "reason" for a late-autumn visit.
No idea of the current atmosphere but, man, what a great venue in the late 80’s and early 90’s with Dowd, Weight, Rolston, etc.
Pretty cool to play Lindenwood in their first D1 season. Should be a blasting like we gave ASU a few years ago but we will be really young so who knows in these early season games. IIRC we lost to a Canadian school (Windsor?) one time so this could be a split
Agreed! Good for Lindenwood and I'm just so excited for this game as it will be an fascinating test for our new young players.
Never been but alwyas wanted to come out and catch a game
The games are electric and the team will be especially interesting this year with such a large crop of young talent.
If you really want to go to a game, I will be traveling in October and won't go to the BU or Western Michigan game. Feel free to ping me at morganpt at umich.edu if you're interested in my tix at face value.
(Mods, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that. So apologies in advance if it's against the rules and and take it down it it's not allowed. Thanks!)
