Massive difference in the team's quality of play vs the end of the regular season.  "Easy" win even after giving up a goal 32 seconds into the game

We dominated this game. I was just really surprised how Minnesota fans (and their coach) don’t seem to know how hockey works. However, fuck then. We beat their asses.

Minny dominated the first and last minute of the game.

The 58 minutes in the middle were a problem, though.

This UM team is awesome.

Time to start the hockey bracketology

It'll be tough to build a fair bracket while avoiding intraconference matchups. The problem is the top 8 includes 2 B1G and 4 NCHC teams, with one more of each at 9 and 10. In the first round, you have to split up the 7-10 matchup between NoDak and St. Cloud St. It seems obvious to me that if you flip SCSU and Notre Dame, you kill two birds with one stone by setting up first round matchups between teams from different conferences, and also avoid the potential second round B1G game between U-M and ND. You still have a second round NCHC game between Denver and Minnesota-Duluth (4-5) but I think that's acceptable, since with 5 teams it's impossible to guarantee no rematches in the second round. But I didn't go through every scenario to see if anything else works better.

My guess of bracket:

(1) Michigan vs AIU, (8) Quinnipiac vs SCSU, Allentown PA

(2) Minnesota St vs Harvard, ND vs ND, Albany NY

(3) WMU vs Northeastern, Minnesota vs Massachusetts, Worster, MA (lower seeds get to play in their home state, funny how that works out)

(4) Denver vs UMass Lowell, Duluth vs Michigan Tech, Loveland CO
