Excellent. His enthusiasm for all things M is infectious, and the news is a nice palate cleanser after a distasteful weekend for the department.
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:26 PM ^
Awesome.
I wish I had something more clever to say, but Denard is an all-time Wolverine and I’m happy he’s back.

Who's Denard Robinson?
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:34 PM ^
My favorite player of all time! One of the most fun, electric, and overall great guys ever in the program!
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
Wait, doesn't he have a COVID year left? Can't he play? Put him in the backfield alongside Corum!
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
Nice but does anyone know what exactly the job entails?
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
Perfect hire. This makes my day.
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:35 PM ^
Cant think of anyone who deserves it more!
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:38 PM ^
He's the guy who can make the kesel run in less than 12 parsecs, with his shoes untied 😎
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:39 PM ^
This is the best news! He is such a beloved part of Michigan Football. This has got to be huge for recruiting.
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:40 PM ^
GREAT hire!
I'll bet he can still unlace them up!

@yossarians tree
Here are actual job descriptions for these types of roles:

Here's a short summary from Army:

This is the best. Denard was the bright spot in the lowest time of this program’s history. He was an unbelievable talent but that dude smiling kept me afloat as a Michigan fan. He always looked to be having a great time. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather be running recruiting.
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:50 PM ^
Welcome back to Ann Arbor, Denard! This is a great hire. Denard is such a positive guy. Truly a win/win for the Michigan football program.

Randomly, the GF and I were throwing out hyptothetical celebrities who we would invite to our wedding, if we magically knew they'd show up.
I chose denard and had to explain to her that he'd be the first on the dancefloor, helping grandma tear it up in her walker, would make a great toast, and then probably help the cleaning staff pickup plates.
His positivity is infectious and am so glad he's back with the program!
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:53 PM ^
I love that guy. He will bring ENERGY!
February 23rd, 2022 at 12:53 PM ^
One of the best athletes to ever put on the winged helmet. This is awesome!

I honestly wonder if any Michigan player has been loved by the fanbase more than Denard. I mean I'm 62 and the only two that come close in my lifetime were Ricky Leach and Anthony Carter. And Leach went 3-1 against OSU with three B1G titles while Carter ushered Michigan into the modern era as he was too good for Bo to not start throwing the ball a little and was on the recieving end of one of the greatest single plays in Michigan history.
Good for Denard - glad he's back. And good for Jimmy to bring him back.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:01 PM ^
Yes comrades!!!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:01 PM ^
Only right for Denard to work at Michigan.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:04 PM ^
Who's Denard Robinson?
Just another 3* from southern Florida area. Probably signing with Miami (YTM)
Welcome aboard Shoelaces!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:05 PM ^
This would be so great.
Dude should have won the Heisman - easily. His performances against ND were legend.
No ceiling on his ability to bring positivity to Michigan football.
Go Denard !
Go Blue.

Lets get the whole band back together - anyone know where Lloyd Brady is these days?
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:09 PM ^
Is that the guy who is named after Brian's son? Seems pretty young for the job...
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:10 PM ^
Having Brian's son on staff should allow the blog to have a lot more insider info.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:12 PM ^
This news removes any possibility that tonight's game will ruin my day. Denard is a great hire and great Wolverine. Welcome Home, Shoelace!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:15 PM ^
Halle-f&cking-lejah for some good news, welcome back!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:16 PM ^
Denard will be a great face of recruiting. The Dude has a golden personality for recruits and parents.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:18 PM ^
Ain't this the posbang?
About fuckin' time.
I'm old like mGrowOld and Denard is my favorite Michigan player of all time.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:23 PM ^
YES!!!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:28 PM ^
Pretty excited about this. If there is any chance he could work his way into an on-field role, on the way to becoming our next HC, I will support it 100%.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:34 PM ^
Absolutely love this hire. He is one of my favorite Wolverines and one of the few bright spots through some rough times. Welcome Home Shoelace!!!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:42 PM ^
This made my day!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:44 PM ^
This is so awesome
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:46 PM ^
We just got a PWO.... Renard Dobinson....the kid is lightening fast, doesn't tie his shoes.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:48 PM ^
This is the best news we could get this week!
My favorite Wolverine of all time, and one of the best people I can think of to represent the University and the Football program to recruits.
Now if we could only get Jordan Kovacs here coaching all of the Walk-ons. Or anywhere on the Defense.
Go Blue!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:49 PM ^
I hope he host the recruits and their families on their visits. Can't imagine a better person showing the families around than him.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:51 PM ^
Hey Brian/Seth, where’s the Hello Again post!
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:52 PM ^
I Love it!!!! Way to Go Michigan.
February 23rd, 2022 at 1:59 PM ^
Denard took his opening collegiate snap, dropped it (on purpose for effect probably) and ran for a 43 yard touchdown against WMU. What a start to a phenomenal career.
I am so happy he's back.
February 23rd, 2022 at 2:05 PM ^
I’m the happiest man ever!!! GO MF BLUE!!
February 23rd, 2022 at 2:06 PM ^
Maybe?
Perhaps GOJ can let us know if AA was talking about DR instead of JG going to YTM LOL
February 23rd, 2022 at 2:08 PM ^
So cool. Hoping the news is accurate.
February 23rd, 2022 at 2:11 PM ^
This is a great move!! He will be a big hit in recruiting, especially with the South Florida talent.
