That's as a HS senior. If he plays, after weight room and nutrition time, he's going to be larger than that. Those likely wont be his measurements if he ever sees the field for UM.

I feel like OL is one of the positions with the highest chance of unearthing a gem from the walk-on pool. Intelligence is one of the most important attributes for an OL, and you never know when you might find yourself another Vastardis who can be a solid contributor.

Congrats to him. PWO with offers from the Ivies plus places like Kent St, Marshall, Fordham, etc.
I do wonder how many of these PWOs wind up seeing the field, but never hurts to take swings on guys with some athleticism and the ability to add weight.

If nothing else, you always need bodies in practice. The unsung guys who get pounded Monday through Thursday but rarely or never see PT on Saturday.

Our current backup QB is a PWO, the Glasgows were all PWOs, Vastardis, Gash, etc. We've had some decent success with it.

Many years ago, there was a student athlete who played both football and lacrosse. He played at Syracuse, and - after he finished college, wound up playing a few games on Sundays. He was a running back, not an OL.
His name: Jim Brown.

Man had the amazing ability to drag 3 to 5 tacklers many yards before falling down. Numbah 32.
As a pro. 2,359 carries for 12,312 yards. So 5.2 yards per carry. 106 rushing TDs. 2,499 receiving yards. 20 receiving TDs.
Basketball, track, lacrosse star. He humiliated many defenses.
