Heavy Ball Movement to Michigan for 5* PF Isaiah Todd

Frankly i don't give a shit if their is a thread every 2 minutes in regards to this kid, because his commitment impact to Michigan tomorrow would be gigantic.

Late last night 2 more crystal balls came in to Michigan (on the heels of KU visit).  Last night Evan Daniels, director of basketball recruiting for 247 put his in for Michigan at 9:17 pm (was on Kansas forever, then cloudy for a bit).

Then at 10:52 pm Josh Henschke of the MichiganInsider put his in.

This morning at 6:30 am, Sam Webb put his in to Michigan.

Michigan now has 79% of the crystal balls. Kansas has 7% and that was put in OVER 2 years ago!

There was some discussion in the comments of a recent post at UMHoops that I think is worth sharing (and I HIGHLY recommend paying for access to that site - fantastic and frequent content).

  • Most people think Todd is going to commit to Michigan and then still keep an eye on how the season goes.  There's a non-zero chance that he may still elect to play overseas instead of going to college, so if Michigan struggled this year don't rule that out.  But things are trending in the right direction.

  • Dylan's dream class for 2020 would be:  Zeb Jackson (combo guard), Isaiah Todd (PF), Moses Moody (Wing), Hunter Dickenson (C) and then see what else happens in the spring with the last spot (Jace Howard, transfer, late signing of another top-50, project recruit, etc.)

Yep, that would be a top 5 class for sure, maybe top 3. I think Dickinson will be the next to drop though. Solidify that front court and then bring in your facilitators. Jace could always walk on for a year and then get a scholarship next year. This class is super important to get the ball rolling for Howard

I'm busy as hell with work right now, and haven't had much time to follow basketball......

Can someone clue me in......is this guy a potential "1 and done", or is he more likely someone who will stick around a few years?

Yes. He's the RSCI (consensus) 11th ranked player in his class and all of the talk about potentially playing over seas instead of going to college would seem to indicate that he would be going straight to the NBA from HS if he could.

Dude is coming to Michigan and he will be an absolutely massive land but he will not be around very long.
