This quote perfectly captures JMFH to me... “The ball comes, no matter who’s around him, it’s everyone for themselves. He will dive for the ball. He will get on the concrete and crawl on his hands and knees to retrieve the ball. We did this at San Francisco last year at the Giants game. A couple people behind us weren’t as aggressive for the ball, and we had to apologize that (Jim) works on a different frequency.” I love this man!

This one too... “The ball comes, no matter who’s around him, it’s everyone for themselves. He will dive for the ball. And I really like this one as well... “The ball comes, no matter who’s around him, it’s everyone for themselves. He will dive for the ball. He will get on the concrete and crawl on his hands and knees to retrieve the ball. We did this at San Francisco last year at the Giants game. A couple people behind us weren’t as aggressive for the ball, and we had to apologize that (Jim) works on a different frequency.” My apologies for the triple post.

They showed him last night. Buck said if only Jim Harbaugh was here to see this and they cut to him in the stands. I am really leaning to there are several JH's. You just cant be everywhere at once can you?

I'm confused as to Harbaugh's baseball loyalties. He has talked about growing up a Tigers fan but seems to cheer for the Cubs (spent a lot of his adult life in Chicago and Indiana, makes sense) and the Indians as well.

Interviewed at TWS last night - said Cubs, Tigers, Oakland... then added Pirates, Giants, Indians as teams he has a special feeling for. Said there was probably an oder that they would be placed into, but didn't hint at what it would be.

*** Best part: was asked if he had gotten any balls before, and he went in to a one or two minute serious explanation about how he would get some with the glove (40%) but most would be about scrambling for it, rolling under the seats, in the empty sections.... Our coach haunts the empty sections of games so that he can get extra balls.

He's been 10 years old for 42 years.

Anyone at the game? I live just north of the field, am a Bears/Cubs fan.

My buddy at the game said when they showed Jim on the big screen he got some boos. Not sure if he was just giving me shit via text knowing I am a Michigan fan and he is an Illinois guy?

Harbaugh played for the Bears, not sure where the boos came from. Haters gonna hate I guess.

I was watching outside the gates, and harbaugh passed right by as he left. Left in the bottom of the 8th, believe it or not - guess he's got places to be

After a big win it is OK to relax a bit AND ....

1. He is actually working - knowing that he'll be on National TV and while perhaps not that many recruits will see him live, Twitter and the Internet will circulate the info.

2. Many parents might see him.

3. Of all of the many things he might get into after a game, going to a baseball world series game is probably pretty inocuous.

Growing up in GR, the Tigers have always been my MLB team. Interleague play was non-existent, and is still uncommon. Completely acceptable to root for a NL team as well. Cubs were the closest and were easy to follow on cable television.

Harbaugh drawing up publicity for UMich, terrific. Is it true Wrigley Field played the UMich fight song? Who's got it better than us?

Baseball or WSOP?

In all seriousness, this is the closest a man has come to connecting with me down to my soul. I thought I was the only adult who felt naked at a baseball game without his ball glove. Kudos to you, brother Jim, for not backing down. There are dozens of us!  Dozens!

What do you think D.J. Durkin, the ex-Michigan
asst and current Maryland coach,
thinks of Harbaugh being at WS instead of preparing for MD?
