Harbaugh’s teammates delivered it.

Harbaugh was fine but Michigan’s running game and special teams were the difference.

Morris ran for 210 and Gillette nailed field goals. Harbaugh facilitated a lot of yards (529) on offense but threw 2 INTs including one on the goal line. Harbaugh didn’t throw a TD pass or run one in and was incomplete on the only 2 point conversion.

Jim's recent pay cut and vulnerability of being fired have clearly kept him up at night.

Stress is a great diet.

I don’t think he was ever not hungry to beat and destroy OSU. He played in this game. He’s won it (as a player). He knows what it means.

Granted, I don’t think he’s very good at publicly displaying his hatred for OSU (that’s probably by design, for his own reasons), but we’d be nuts to think that in his heart of hearts, it doesn’t eat away at him to look at and think about his results over the last six years.

However bad we want to beat OSU, I can guarantee he wants it more. Of course, it’s his responsibility to actually deliver on it, but I personally don’t think the desire was ever not there.

I lost 37 pounds last year in about 2 and 1/2 months. I was doing the low carb diet . I was surprised how well it worked. I stopped in order to eat Halloween candy . Gained a bunch of it back. Getting ready to go back on it .

Its the only diet i know if that you can eat bacon and eating a burger - (No bun ) is not just recommended but a big part of the diet being successful .

Started at 292 . So I got down to 255 . I made small goals , and kept track . When i reached one goal , like 5 pounds or so , id make another goal of another 5 pounds .  Ultimate goal was to get down to 200 . First big goal was to reach 250. I almost made it to that .

Im currently 270 ish .

I was very surprised , after going off the diet  that I didnt gain it all  back.

I drank a lot of water to keep the hunger away . Drank about 6 liters per day .  I only ate between 12 pm and 8 pm .

I also drank  sparkling water when i just had to have something flavorful .

Look up the Keto diet so you can see some low carb food .

The worst part of the diet was constipation . I got that figured out , but I was surprised  , as I had never had that problem before .  The remedy for it was more Magnesium  , Magnesium Citrate in my diet .  Almonds and Cashews are higher in Magnesium and low in carbs  .

Good luck  , LMK if you have any more questions .

Two years ago I went from about 195 to about 175 in roughly 4 months. No diet. Just started watching what I ate--salad for lunch with protein like beans, chicken, tuna and chicken, salmon, etc. at night--and also getting in a good cardio workout 3-4 times a week. I would cheat once a week, usually on Saturdays with pizza, etc. I'd tried other diets, but that weight loss plan worked the best for me and I found it to be more sustainable. Just calories in vs. calories out.

Also, I'm a smoker and was never really much of a runner. But I was amazed at the satisfaction I got from struggling to run one mile to being able to hit six miles. It really felt good.

Intermittent fasting. I'm wide shouldered, narrow waisted, was 204-207 for years, got up to 217 during cookie and beer season (Thanksgiving to new years) a few years ago. I decided to go full on IF.

In normally found 20-4, down to 188-191 unless I go off the rails completely,I go 194. If I go 44 hours I drop to 185. I eat what I want and gorge myself when I feel like it (parties or whatnot, pizza and beer, whatever) and within a day, two at the outside, I'm back into the 180s.

Been doing it for 3 years. Read about the benefits of not eating for 3 days. You might be surprised. I feel really good when I fast and sluggish when I eat.

Good for him. While the coach obviously has different obligations than the players when it comes to physical fitness, I'm still a big fan of coaches leading by example.

Since you brought him up, I'll share a quick story:

When Mark Mangino's fatass was coaching Kansas football, he was too enormous to wipe his own ass. How did he solve that problem? He would have extra long beach towels left in the locker room handicap stall. After blasting a Todd Reesing-sized dookie, he would put one end of the towel over his shoulder and thread the other end behind him and between his gelatinous corn-fed thighs. He would then seesaw that beach towel as if were ass-crack dental floss and leave the horrifying mess on the stall floor for the equipment managers to collect.

“Rick (Majerus) was always a jerk to the managers. Every season he went out of his ways to never learn their names. They were only referred to as ‘manager'. One day, Rick was drawing up a scout in our team room about 2 hours before tipoff. Things were going well, considering he was fully dressed and we hadn't been referred to as c-words yet. From the white board he started yelling 'manager, manager, bring a towel over here!'.

"Not knowing what to expect, we sat back eagerly awaiting his next move. What happened next still haunts me to this day. Majerus took the towel, pulled his pants down, and quickly took a dump into the towel, which he was holding under his ass. After he was done he used part of the towel to wipe, wrapped it up, and HANDED IT BACK TO THE MANAGER, and told him to throw it away. The kid looked like a deer in giant Rick Majerus headlights. The whole room was silent. Rick just pulled his pants up and went back to the scout, never once mentioning it or acting like anything out of the ordinary had occurred."

Mind, body and soul is the secret to success. Jim now has the body and seemingly his mind is much more in the game than the past few years. Soul as in heart and soul needs to be shown on game day. I hope he becomes that leader we saw in 2015 & 2016.

This is a big deal.  Successful coaches and leaders set an example for their players through their own work ethic and focus on health.  While Meyer always looked like a nervous bird on the sidelines, he was always in good physical shape (except of course when Saban started kicking his ass and his heart issues kicked in)

Speaking of Saban, he's 60+ going on 40...guy always looks in prime condition.

Would be great to see Jim start paying attention to the details in both his personal life and on the field.

Not really a big deal (outside of the health benefits).  Andy Reid, Bill Belichick, Bruce Arians, etc, etc, are all clearly overweight and most would argue they have been reasonably successful coaches.  I don't care if he weighs 150lbs or 450lbs, if he's successful (or not) his weight means nothing from a sporting standpoint.

I’m calling BS on part of this. He has very young children, including one whose stay in the NICU basically coincided with the sideline mellowing so many are angered by (my first born had a monthlong stay so it’s a sore spot). He’s done a good job losing weight, but let’s not kid ourselves that he was tremendously out of shape either.

More than likely, Meyer never had true heart disease. Just stress/anxiety syndrome which can cause things such as chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, light headedness, insomnia. Being a head coach at a major program will do that to you, especially if you add in chasing co-ed tail.

LOL, okay.

Look at McGregor in the clip, still has a limp. That’s concerning, and was pointed out by Michigan media.

They also commented on how quiet it is at practices.
