I don’t get two things being…

I don’t get two things being said:

ND doesn’t have a QB?

Everyone here is high on JJ and wouldn’t say he is a question mark?

Here are the two compared from last year:

QB A:

6 TDs 3 TOs

634 Total Yards, 8.5 YPP, 7.3 YPR

Total QBR 72.8

QB: B

7 TDs 4 TOs

640 Total Yards, 8.7 YPP, 4.6 YPR

Total QB 62.0

QB A is Tyler Buchner & QB is JJ.

The QBR is notable because it takes into account the opponents, garbage time stats, importance of each play, etc…

So stats are basically same with Buchner with much higher QBR (10.8 is a massive difference in QBR).

The second thing I don’t get is the predictions of OSU winning by 30+ ?

ND has a much better OL & DL than OSU has front 7 & OL.

ND will probably take the air out of the ball & cut the game in half.
OSU will win, but there won’t be enough possessions and time for OSU to score 45-50 points. And ND will run the ball & score on OSU.

I see more of a 34-24 type of score.

I just watched CBS Sports HQ…

I just watched CBS Sports HQ and they said a couple things.

They said there is probably going to be two super conferences like the NFL by the time this is all over.
That there won’t be enough good programs to create a third.

Talked to Brady Quinn about ND.
Mentioned that an unofficial bidding war has begun over which direction ND goes because the ACC & SEC will link up and ND’s partnership through 2036 could lead them that direction. But the NBC contract ends soon & ND might use that to move away from their current deals. Said the phone is ringing off the hook at ND from other AD’s about what they are going to do.

One dude joked Jack Swarbrick might negotiate a deal where ND could bounce back & forth between the super conferences to remain an “independent.”

“Beg the B1G to join.”

What…

“Beg the B1G to join.”

What fantasy world do you live in?

The B1G would bend over to get ND to join.
You hate ND, but thinking ND would have to be beg anybody, especially the conference that has been throwing money at ND to join for decades, even offering to buy out their ACC contract through 2036…is the silliest thing I’ve seen in a while.

ND & Michigan have the same,…

ND & Michigan have the same, legal, NIL fund.
Both will not pay players to attend their school.
Both are NOT guaranteeing any NIL deals in the future.

The biggest difference is ND’s FUND was set up and explained more efficiently than Michigan’s. ND has faces & trusted names as the face of it & Michigan is still trying to figure out how to handle theirs.

If you look at ND’s ‘23 & ‘24 classes, all those kids are Michigan type kids. They are high academic, not looking for a payout, and Michigan offered.
Michigan just is losing the head to head battle with ND for kids that are UM/ND type of kids. In ‘24 already, Carr (obviously 100% UM kid), Swain (Michigan kid), Williams (family all Michigan fans).
If Michigan won the UM/ND type of kids battles they would have a top 5 class right now.

Couldn’t care less about a…

Couldn’t care less about a score from 3 years ago, why?

Was Michigan or ND competing for a title that year?

That question is as pointless as asking about the game the year before that, when both teams did have CFP aspirations, when discussing ‘23 recruiting & NIL.

You are the guy who messes everything up but has no accountability, so tries to create a distraction by blaming others to change the discussion. Cool.

Once again, explain to me how ND and Michigan can be doing the exact same thing with NIL but have two completely opposite results?

Michigan offered & recruited hard the following kids & could have them. ND didn’t pay any of these kids. They ALL could be Michigan commits. But zero are because Michigan lost the head to head battle with ND:

Keeley, Drayk Bowen, Peyton Bowen, Pendleton, Limar, Jagusah, Houstan, Traore, Vernon, Jason Moore, P Zinter, Bell, Shuler, Gray, and in the ‘24 Class, Carr, Cam Williams, Larsen, Swain & Wafle.

Michigan wins those battles instead of ND, they have the top recruiting classes. And they won zero of them.

Who is ND paying?

Seriously…

Who is ND paying?

Seriously? Name a player in their ‘23 class who has received a dime or NIL deal?

ND recruited similar to Michigan (8-12 range) with a lazy recruiting HC. Now they have a young, energetic, recruiting first, HC and will probably finish top 5. Thats not NIL magic. And you act like ND is Purdue. ND is a top tier recruiting team historically, just not under BK. Fat Charlie couldn’t coach & he was pulling in top 3 classes at ND.

Trying to link ND recruiting success to NIL is laughable. In fact, multiple national sites have said that if not for NIL, Dante would have been part of ND’s class.

If ND can recruit legally & not pay players, keep their academic integrity & explain to recruits how NIL will work after they get to school that benefits them…Michigan can too. Stop making excuses. ND’s staff is destroying that excuse.

The team currently with the …

The team currently with the #1 classes in both ‘23 & ‘24 aren’t offering recruits money to come play there.

They are handling NIL legally & the same way Michigan is.

They are just doing a lot better job of explaining how it benefits the recruit in the long run.

ND is doing exactly what you…

ND is doing exactly what you said Michigan is doing (not paying players to come, but telling them NIL opportunities will be available later) and they seem to be recruiting just fine.

ND’s & UM’s NIL funds are pretty much identical. Neither is paying kids upfront to commit. One team is recruiting at an elite level currently and one is below average.

This one has been pretty…

This one has been pretty simple for months.

Dante doesn’t want to go to Michigan.

His father doesn’t want him to go to ND.

His father wants NIL. Dante doesn’t care.

But his father runs things, so he is pushing Dante to do what he tells him.

Huh?

ND beat #1 Miami, #2…

Huh?

ND beat #1 Miami, #2 USC, #3 WVU, along with #8 Michigan, PSU, MSU…

Miami was #2 going into Bowl Season & ND already beat them.

Miami was contractually obligated to play the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma.
ND was obligated to play in the Fiesta against who the Fiesta selected, which was 11-0 #3 WVU.

The final poll had Miami #2, Michigan #4, WVU #5, USC #7.

That is as legit national title there ever was before the CFP.

Still the only team to beat #1,#2,#3 all in the same season.

One note on Peyton Woodyard…

One note on Peyton Woodyard is he is Kyle Hamilton’s cousin & been to ND multiple times already.

According to EJ Holland at…

According to EJ Holland at On3, Wilson is most likely leaving the class to play down South and now there are “whispers” that Cabana is looking to leave the class.

That is Michigan’s top 3 commits in the class decommitting.

He also noted the lack of 2023 recruits at the spring game.

Elston wants all the guys he…

Elston wants all the guys he recruited at ND, but according to multiple sites (Michigan & other teams/national) he isn’t having luck. Keeley still hasn’t set up a visit & said he might just as a courtesy to Elston, but nobody believes he would flip to UM. Michigan trails pretty far back for both Jason Moore & MPemba. Interestingly MPemba is spending the afternoon at UM (18th) & then driving straight down to ND for two days (19-20th). Elston is sending out secondary offers now for DL. He saw Bahr is person at ND & Bahr left without an offer. According to the ND site Bahr was not even on Elston’s board at ND. He wanted Keeley, Vernon, Moore, MPemba, Houstan & Traore, which are the guys he recruited before. Expect more DL offers & commitments from plan B & C guys.

People on here need to not…

People on here need to not listen to everything Harbaugh says to cover his own rear (like he’s done for 7 years).

It has been analyzed & discussed by many (like Klatt at the time) it was on JJ. Harbaugh is taking heat for JJ and now he is pointing the finger elsewhere to protect himself. And JJ’s family is always in his ear on top of that.

People on here wonder why things never change, it’s because Harbaugh just straight up says whatever he wants to cover for himself & the Michigan media eats it up & is terrified to question him.

Watch the play. Anyone who has played knows that if that is a handoff the QB sticks it in there right in the midsection and there is no doubt. Watch the ball, it is fumbled off the RBs hip, never got close to be placed where it needed to if it was a straight handoff. And the OL wasn’t blocking downfield, they were blocking at the LOS like you do in a RPO. JJ messed up the RPO, and Harbaugh won’t admit it.

OP, you do realize this…

OP, you do realize this means absolutely nothing for two reasons:

1) These polls mean nothing now the CFP poll comes out

2) If Michigan & ND both win out, Michigan will be ranked higher because of SOS. If Michigan loses again & ND doesn’t, then ND will be higher.

There is literally no reason to complain about these two teams in comparison.

Cracks me up that a team…

Cracks me up that a team that beats all the other teams in contention is fraudulent. Advice to all the other teams, don’t lose games you shouldn’t, or don’t complain. It’s that simple.
Not ND’s fault all the other teams poop the bed (like Michigan at home against a bad MSU team), and they handle their business. And both CFP games they were closer in losses to the eventual champions than the team in the title game. Michigan needs to beat a 1-2 Wisconsin & MSU, and not worry about others.

The line changed (and…

The line changed (and documented) to Michigan -1 at Kickoff.
Your google search and smarting off both failed you.

You couldn’t be more wrong. …

You couldn’t be more wrong. “Very clear…” um, no.

Michigan wanted Tatum bad. They didn’t move on to others by choice.

I can tell everyone from covering the Great Lakes area, that kids are way more impressed with Mel Tucker & MSU than they are with Michigan right now. They see what Tucker is doing with a mediocre roster and are very impressed.

As for the region, check out the various visitor lists for rack program (Michigan. MSU, ND, OSU, PSU) and a couple teams are loaded with 5 Star & top 100 4 Stars visiting.

Why? I don’t get, “at this…

Why? I don’t get, “at this point…” Everybody on here was predicting a bad year & how the staff was not good, but now after beating three horrible teams at home you are suggesting it would be hard to not go to Michigan? Every year it’s like this. Take it a week at a time & stop the Milton for Heisman after one week stuff again.

LOL, okay.

Look at McGregor…

LOL, okay.

Look at McGregor in the clip, still has a limp. That’s concerning, and was pointed out by Michigan media.

They also commented on how quiet it is at practices.

But yeah, I need to F@ck off because you can’t handle anything but unicorns & rainbows.

https://mobile.twitter.com…

It’s a little awkward because you would think the entire team would be cheering him on?

https://mobile.twitter.com/BTNDaveRevsine/status/1426239236873850886

That would place him as the…

That would place him as the 8th highest ranked player in the class.

To finish in the top 10 at…

To finish in the top 10 at the end of the season, Michigan would have to be 11-2.

You think Michigan goes 11-2?

Top 10 of what?

Top 10 of what?

Who is the staff recruiting?…

Who is the staff recruiting?
Look at the offers and who is Michigan going to get? Trent is going to decommit according to the Michigan Rivals site & Morris is rehabbing a devastating injury.
Who does Michigan lead for?

That’s a myth that caught…

That’s a myth that caught traction by anybody attending medical school in the late 70’s-late 80’s. It has been debunked many times over. If your Doctor is over 55 he/she is probably telling you that because that is what they were taught. They were actually taught (and still tell patients) that females shouldn’t run because it will make their uterus drop, which is 100% false.
At NIFS (National Institute for Fitness and Sports) in Indy, where the Olympic, professional & amateur athletes are medically tested & treated, it was proven 30 years ago (and ever since), the “walking is healthier than running” theory is false.

Curious to why you have…

Curious to why you have Walker as coming? Because of EJ saying “might show up.” Walker told ND site he wasn’t going. (According to Singer at Rivals).

Why would pulling UVA, Pitt,…

Why would pulling UVA, Pitt, Duke & UNC out of the ACC give ND @no choice but to come?”
The football team is not part of the ACC & those four programs would have no bearing on ND in football. Even if they joined the B1G (like in Hockey), the football team would still be independent. Paul Finebaum just said earlier this week that ND has an open invite to the SEC but aren’t interested. ND can join the ACC anytime between now & 2036 by just saying so, but aren’t interested.

So that point of view is 100% false.

Jackson was always an ass. I…

Jackson was always an ass. I had a run-in with him and one of his buddies at the Indy airport at the wetzel pretzel stand. Nobody in Indy likes him either.

I find it funny a bunch of…

I find it funny a bunch of people are saying “Pacers” as if the whole team was in the stands. The majority was on the court trying to defend themselves.

And the idiots saying it was just a few fans need to go back & watch all the video of hundreds of fans throwing stuff at Pacers who were just standing at their bench trying to cover up. Reggie Miller was one of them, who was not playing that night, who has personal security who recorded the whole thing next to him & literally hundreds of fans just in that corner were throwing things at them & about a dozen came down to the bench just in front of them.
So once it kicked off, the fans weren’t innocent bystanders.

McNamara says so? The same…

McNamara says so? The same kid who had the ridiculous locker room speech after beating Rutgers guaranteeing Michigan was running the table. Cool.

EJ is a d-bag. Everybody,…

EJ is a d-bag. Everybody, including others at Rivals, hate him. He also burned all his bridges at 247.
But like you and others have said, a lot of the Michigan reporters/analysts are either huge fans or close with the staff, so can’t be rational. Every time something goes wrong they will spin it or publish a “who Michigan can flip” article. The last one was comical. One of the kids in the article literally told another site he has no intention of even visiting Michigan & hasn’t returned their calls.
That is why Michigan fans get their hearts broken every year recently, because their own media blow smoke up their rears and have everyone believing THIS year the team is really good.

Burnham is out of the…

Burnham is out of the picture.

A buddy from another site interviewed him this past week & Burnham is very close with other recruits in his class & the DC/LB coach & drives down on his own dime a lot to hang out & help recruit. He was the one who closed the deal on the LB from Cali who was leaning Texas for a bit.

Do you now want the…

Do you now want the realistic breakdown of the recruit?

Ive told this board numerous times to not listen to Webb or Balas or EJ or any of the Michigan analysts who twist everything to make it seem every Michigan recruit and team is incredible. One UM site is saying this kid should be a low 4 Star…why?

The truth is the kid hasn’t played football. He has been hurt & when he did play he was smaller & didn’t play LB. There is no reason to be for or against his abilities based on film or on-field performance because there is none.
As for performing in front of the coaching staff, I can tell you something Webb purposely didn’t mention…which is he has attended multiple camps & left without an offer from all of the them except Michigan.
The reality is Michigan is taking a chance with a local kid they hope develops into a good player. But as of right now, he is a 2 Star player (since he hasn’t played) with the ability to reach 3 Star with better film/performances.

Once again, don’t be mad at me. But please stop getting all fired up because of what Webb, Balas & EJ try to feed you. According to them every year Michigan is elite.

ND’s class ranking of 3rd is…

ND’s class ranking of 3rd is not going to hold with other recruiting powers just now starting to get commits.
But ND’s top 7-8 targets (all higher ranked than their current highest ranked player Burnham) are just now visiting & ND expects to land almost all of them as they were the leader going into the visit. I know of four silent commits among that group already, three of which are ranked higher than Burnham.

ND will finish in the 6-8 range, which is probably about their best case scenario under current recruiting ranking guidelines, but much higher than their 11-15 ranked classes of the past decade. SI re-ranks the classes upon graduation & ND’s last three classes that were ranked 11, 12 & 14 coming out of HS, were re-ranked 5th, 5th & tied for 5th leaving college. So that shows good evaluation & development.
ND also released multiple “bad recruiters” from their staff despite multiple of them being ND football royalty like Todd Lyght & Autry Denson.
They now have noted great recruiters in Lance Taylor, Marcus Freeman & Mike Mickens, to go along with Mike Elston & Bill Polian.

A couple of questions Michigan needs to ask themselves:

1) Can they release dead weight, even if they are Michigan men?

2) Can they evaluate & develop talent and not just Star chase?

3) Can they be honest with themselves? I’ve never seen a group of reporters/analysts that cover a team blow more smoke up fans’ rears than the guys on Michigan’s Rivals & 247 sites.
I can name you a dozen players off the top of my head that OSU/ND passed on that Michigan took then the reporters from the Michigan sites declared Michigan beat out OSU/ND for them & distort reality to keep their fanbase happy.

If you research Michigan, OSU, ND & PSU, four teams who generally recruit a lot of the same players from the same region, you will see a distinct difference in recruiting strategies.

You are 0 for on your…

You are 0 for on your statement.
I covered that team, and also other teams in the region, including UM. I still talk to friends & contacts from those places, that’s how I am able to provide info on here that people like yourself scoff at, like when 6 months ahead of it being public I told this board about what Rocco Spindler told the ND staff about his grandfather and how he would be at ND no matter what, and it is always accurate, despite many on here saying I was full of it. Either way, doesn’t matter. It is a fact what the kid is doing, does it really matter who tells you a fact? The if Ryan Day told you 2+2=4 would that be false since he’s an OSU guy?

There is no spin.

What I…

There is no spin.

What I posted came straight from both the Rivals & 247 sites. How you choose to decide what level of care or concern is up to you.

Pretty much everything said…

Pretty much everything said on this thread isn’t true...LOL

He doesn’t need money. He has talked about this on his show numerous times. Before the tournament even started he said if he lost money he would work a side job to replace the money. It’s been a joke on his show for months now.
His wife makes a lot of money (as does he), and he fights with ESPN & the Indy Star because he calls them out for their liberal stances & not being fair to both sides. Some female publisher at the Star has been trying to get him fired for over a year because he called her out for a BS story she did trying to get a HS coach fired because of politics in which she basically made the whole thing up.
So every now and then he gets a week suspended and comes back and mocks the suspension. Then National guys like Mike Tirico, Dan Patrick, etc will come on & back him.
It’s all silly & the people at the Star are butthurt and will eventually get him off the air so he can’t call them out anymore.

There is a high academic…

There is a high academic school just south of Michigan (so same region/weather) that also is VERY strict in accepting transfer credits and they seem to be able to compete in this era.
Michigan’s two biggest problems currently are evaluating & developing talent.
I’ve seen numerous years in a row of Michigan taking kids who are ranked top 300 but other programs in the area pass on. Then those kids turn out not to be very good. This shows a lack of evaluation. I’ve also seen other programs in the area go hard after 3 Star players who they develop into early NFL draft picks while Michigan doesn’t develop high 4 Star kids.
When you are 90 minutes from Northwestern, who has played in multiple B1G title games, & ND, who has played in multiple CFP’s, Michigan can’t pull the “are we going to be allowed to compete” card. The staff needs to evaluate & develop much, much better.

It’s not the platform, it’s…

It’s not the platform, it’s the source, (Dodd), who happens to be one of the most trusted in college football.
Besides, multiple others have reported the same thing. Campbell has been quoted saying he grew up a ND fan & OSU was him home team & it is his dream to coach at one of them.

Kelly’s current contract…

Kelly’s current contract ends in 2024, with the chance for yearly extensions. Interestingly enough, Campbell’s current contract matches. So if Kelly did retire (he won’t get fired, he’s made the CFP two of the last three years and averages 11-2 the past four) in 2024, Campbell could jump to ND with no buyout.

Go google Matt Campbell &…

Go google Matt Campbell & dream job. There are multiple articles, most recent one by Dennis Dodd at CBS, who says Campbell told him his two dream jobs are ND & OSU and he would not coach at UM.

LOL, what?

He tore his ACL,…

LOL, what?

He tore his ACL, and might not be able to play his Senior season if they are playing in the fall again. He and his family are worried about not having a school before then. He literally said last week in interviews on the Michigan sites he was taking his OV’s then deciding. Then he tore up his knee over the weekend & then immediately moved his timeline up & committed.
Dont be butthurt towards me about facts that are being reported everywhere.

It’s pretty bad. I don’t…

It’s pretty bad. I don’t want to sound negative but his knee was severely injured over the weekend, which directly led to his commitment last night. He was planning on making his OVs then deciding, but won’t be able to now & there is concern about his knee structure, so he moved his timeline up to commit.

Just checked...it’s Morris.

Just checked...it’s Morris.

Just checked...it’s Tyler…

Just checked...it’s Tyler Morris.
There you go.

I saw that Morris hurt his…

I saw that Morris hurt his knee over the weekend, but didn’t see Loy say anything about fast tracking his timeline. The article I referred to above was from yesterday afternoon. Did he do another article last night that contradicted his afternoon article? I can check this morning and see what the deal is, but I haven’t heard anything since last night.

Loy didn’t say ND is fading…

Loy didn’t say ND is fading fast with Morris. In his “Like it, Love it, Leave it,” article yesterday afternoon he said he feels it’s neck & neck & that he feels ND will ultimately win out after Morris’ visit. One of Morris’ HS coaches is on another board (BGI) and says ND is doing a lot better than people think.
No one really knows who is leading or what will happen, but Loy definitely never said ND is fading fast with Morris.
Are you thinking of Kaleb Brown?

Something people are…

Something people are forgetting in the “admissions vs coaches vs player” fault argument is what actually happens in a recruitment and the responsibility of each party.

I will give a recent example that happened at another school with high academic standards this same recruiting class.
When coaches recruit kids their Junior year they will explain to them what they need to do for admissions. The coaches or recruiting director will monitor the recruits profess and ensure everything goes smoothly. A recruit from another school who graduated early & wanted to enroll early met all the criteria but the admissions wasn’t satisfied with a testing score. The coaches were planning on this being a possible issue & already had him preparing & scheduling a retake over the winter break. He did, scored higher & was allowed to early enroll. So the staff was prepared, prepped him & guided him to success with admissions.

Maybe in Worthy’s case the recruiting director or staff didn’t do a good job working with the kid & admissions to ensure he was eligible to EE. The recruit might have done what he thought was enough, but was not properly guided by the UM staff. There are staff at every program who lead recruits through the process.
