Harbaugh Completed 2-Hour Virtual Interview With Broncos Yesterday

Considered a "top candidate" afterwards. Article here

I love Coach Harbaugh, and really hope he stays at UM forever. That being said, I have a feeling that spending two hours on Zoom with Jim would be...weird. He's the kind of guy that stares directly at his web cam and uses the "raise hand" button when he wants to talk and the "applause" button when someone says something he likes...

You may be right. No one should think that those of us who are more supportive of him, aren't also frustrated with what's going on. That said, I supported RR and Hoke when things were going .... poorly, it's a whole lot easier to support Jim based upon what we have accomplished under his tenure, and no one should take that for granted or as our divine right as Michigan fans.

I believe ex Saints coach will be hired in Denver. Leaves Jimmy with Az or somewhere else. Even if Harbaugh comes back smells like another OFF year for recruiting. Not a good sign for remaining at the top going forward.

I debated not sharing because I can't give the source, but I have a friend in the national media scene who shared that the NCAA is looking to suspend Jim for 4-6 games over burgergate.

If I were Jim, that, in combination with the lack of penalties for other coaches being caught on FBI wiretaps paying players before it was allowed, would be enough to push me over the edge and give the NCAA a huge middle finger on my way back to the NFL.

If this comes out to be true, they will need to get Warde out the door. At that point, he’s shown how spineless he is, and not defend a coach who has taken the team to national prominence. In any case, I’m getting frustrated by this, but will wait to start yelling at powers that be, until fans have a clearer vision as to what really happens/ed

Warde better be interviewing people too right now. If he doesn't have a replacement ready to go then what the fuck value does he bring as an AD? He should be fired too.

Would also love for him to stay - but I'm personally hoping he feels like a pawn if Denver is using him as a way to pressure Saints to barter on draft choices with Peyton. I don't think they are really interested in him as much as Peyton. Sometimes, when a person plays off others for gain, they find out it happens back to them too and it doesn't feel OK at all. I really thought the Minny interview would have embarrassed him enough not to be back on this treadmill so fast.

Carolina appears to have simply done him a professional favor by letting him "talk" with the owner. Sounds like they have moved on.

Colts make sense in theory, but I can't see him lasting more than 4 years there. If he thinks the 49ers management was micromanaging him, wait until he has to work for quirky Irsay. JH seems like someone who, the longer they are around, wants to test the waters for their next gig. Sort of like Hollywood marriages.

I'm not giving Warde a free pass either. He can do better by offering a much richer contract with a huge buyout for both sides.

What Jim does, I will support him. He's earned the respect these last two years. Just wish he knew what he already has and what will happen to him at age 65 if he's canned by NFL again (it will happen, even guys like Pederson what win SB still get fired by teams like Philly.)

Would honestly be fucking hilarious if Jim left for the NFL because Warde wasn't sticking up for him, Warde gets fired because he's an incompetent sorry sack of shit for letting Harbaugh walk out the door and Michigan goes on to win the National Championship next season with a first year head coach who actually can prep for bowl and playoff games.

Go look at all of my posts and tell me I'm a Sparty troll. I'll fucking wait.

AGAIN: I'm a frustrated fan right now. How can anyone not be frustrated with how this year has started. As CharBlu said earlier, (paraphrasing)  we should be celebrating the fact that our Heisman potential running back announced he was coming back next season, but instead, here we are again... just waiting around on Jimmy to figure out WTF he's doing....AGAIN.

Here. I'll give you one example.

Call me a troll or tell me to put the booze down and go to bed. I could give a rats ass what you think about me.

There are certain people on this board who are so blinded by what they choose to read and believe, and their are others with different mindsets.

I'm a frustrated fan with a different opinion than you.

Quit responding to my posts if you think I'm trolling. It's that simple.

Yes, the last 2 years have been fucking great. Kudos to Harbaugh and staff for this streak.

But.....

Harbaugh got schooled by TCU's first year coach in the biggest game of his (Harbaughs) college coaching career.

Again. I keep saying this.

Michigan will be fine with or without Harbaugh. There are coaches out there that will be lining up outside of the AD's office begging for an interview.

Just shit or get off the pot Jim.

I swear the goal posts just keep getting moved.  Jim Harbaugh outcoaches guys like Urban Meyer and Ryan Day and that doesn't count.  He wins back-to-back conference titles and that isn't enough.  He loses a game 51-45 because of some bad plays, some bad luck, and suddenly he got outsmarted(!!11!!) by Sonny Dykes, who isn't a "first year coach" except as it relates to being his first year at TCU.

I’m not buying “this is the agent creating leverage” so Harbaugh is in a better negotiating position with Warde. He just beat OSU two years in a row (decisively each year), won back to back BIG titles, and took the team to the playoffs twice. He has all the leverage he needs to become one of the highest paid college coaches in the game.

Just can’t shake the negative feeling on recruiting impact. Only this program would go b2b CFP appearances, conference champs, beat their main rival and still generate little to no momentum in recruiting because their coach is flirting with NFL. I don’t fault Jim, just sucks that’s all.

I fault both Jim and Warde as there are things they both could have done to prevent the situation this program is in right now for the second straight off-season.

That said..

I've said a lot of harsh things about Jim and Warde lately (I admit) but at this point I'm in favor of a mutual separation. Not a firing. Just a closed door "Thanks for all you have done, here is an exit package" type of deal. Shake hands, and call it a successful tenure.

It's just time to move on. Jim has his eyes elsewhere.

I read NO gave permission for Denver to talk to their former coach. I don’t think Jim is the number one target. I guess he’s just n the running for Carolina, and possibly the Rams or AZ? If Kliff gets fired UM should hire him as coach!
