Harbaugh's radio post game interview

I listened to his post game interview by the radio broadcast crew. Harbaugh said his team does great in practice and just needs to translate it to the fie. The last time you heard that was....?

He's not medicated. He gave his ll to get us to that point in 2016 and had it stolen from him.  That's deflating.

Then made a comeback and had a good chance last year and Browns D collapsed... And did he year prior.

He knows it's ominous now because the players on D were recruited for now realized gimmick D. so can't change it without further pain. This is why he looks this way.  Defeat. He's never had it.

Here ya go. This video doesn't even show "the spot" because it was irrelevant. Michigan handed the Buckeyes their asses in regulation and got hosed worse than I've ever seen.

Michigan clearly has the better team, so the Big Ten allows previously banned refs to ref the game? LOL!!!

All of you, cut it with the "Urban to Michigan" talk. He'd never come here, and he'd never work out here. He wouldn't be coddled like he was at OSU.

So he somehow was able to be a great coach at Stanford, the NFL, and the first couple years at UM but then, 17 years after he last played organized football he suddenly developed massive symptoms of CTE that rendered him unable to do his job?  The far more likely reason he's struggling right now if his team isn't all that talented and perhaps they have tuned him out.  That's way more likely and may necessitate a change at the top this offseason.  But "oh, it's a brain injury why his team can't cover anyone downfield" is asinine.

I suggest you do a little research on CTE.

Some signs and symptoms of CTE are thought to include difficulties with thinking (cognition), physical problems, emotions and other behaviors. It's thought that these develop years to decades after head trauma occurs.

Again, all of this is anecdotal and based on incredibly broad definitions.  Even that link highlights that it's a complex relationship and can be hard to determine whether or not the broad possible symptoms (depression, impulsive behavior, diminished executive function) apply or not.  I mean, a couple years ago people thought Harbaugh had it because his sideline demeanor "changed" after losing to OSU in 2016.  They thought he was set in his ways and wasn't willing to change his offense or outlook.  Then after some more dispiriting offensive performances he hired Josh Gattis and let him largely overhaul major parts of the offense, which would point to the lack of impulsive behavior and solid executive function.  But now these same people assume he is showing mental health degradation because he isn't firing Don Brown right now.  And this was after he apparently turned off the 49ers by going 8-8 but then came back energized at UM.

My point is that the internet has an awful record at diagnosing mental health conditions in real-time for people; I'll stay out of politics but we just lived through a ton of this talk that was mostly partisan BS intent on fitting a narrative that served a side.  Michigan lost 2 games in a row and the coach is a little dispirited - must be signed of cognitive decline.  Michigan beats ND or MSU and Harbaugh is really excited - he's really energized again.  It's a moving target that people try to graft onto these broad symptoms, and so they get used to prove a point unrelated to the actual disease and those who really do suffer from cognitive degradation.  Could Harbaugh brain injuries from CTE?  Sure.  But even as that article states, the nature of the injuries and the resulting mental impact is complex and hard to distinguish; HS kids who barely played could suffer terribly while NFL All-Pros seemingly emerge unscathed.  And as someone who has had family members suffer from various cognitive deficiencies, I'm perhaps overly sensitive to people arm-chair diagnosing others because they are unhappy with how their football team is playing and it's a coping mechanism for that.
