So good to have her home for the summer. Watching Big Ten sb tournament right now (Go Blue). Driving daughter #1 next week from LA to SF to help her move in to her apartment, hiking some Big Sur en route. She will get to see some America's Cup practice during her summer internship there.

Watching the Bulls game tonight, and getting ready for mother's day which will consist of a Lord of the Rings trilogy marathon and a trip to Star of Siam for some pretty decent Thai food, at least if I have anything to say about it.

I'm running the Riverbank Run 5k in Grand Rapids tomorrow. Not looking forward to it, mostly due to the weather, but also because I'm slow and out of shape now. On the bright side, I'll be running with family. Also on the bright side:

Tonight I'll be putting away laundry with the wife to the taste of vodka-cranberry cocktails (sometimes stuff gets to the right drawer, sometimes it doesn't!). Then this weekend it's little league action and editing my next novel.

My only drink is water. I'll be watching the Wings game tonight. Working on my final pages of my thesis. Will be walking at this time next week. Receiving my M.S. in Geology from MSU (not THAT MSU)...Missouri State University.

Then moving back closer to Michigan and hopefully getting an environmental consulting job.

Go Wings!

Back in Detroit for the weekend, so naturally attending my first baseball game of the year tonight. I was 11-0 including 3 playoff wins last year so let's continue the streak into 2013, Go Tigers!

My big plans for the weekend?  Studying for my AP Bio Exam on Monday and my AP US Exam on Wednesday.  I'll probably practice a few essays as well.

Drinking Woodford Reserve, neat.

Coaching two Kindergarten girls soccer games this weekend. Working on my line up, bummed my leading scorer isn't making the game tomorrow :(

... On this team, we fight for that inch, on this team we crawl, with our fingernails for that inch!

Woodford might be kicking in......

I'm part of the faculty processional at the Texas A&M graduation: several hours of listening to names being read would be helped by some martinis. On he bright side, I get to wear fancy academic regalia, and I'll have my phone so I can catch up on my mgoblog reading.

I never speak unless I've got something to say. Btw, I love your handle since I just watched the Wire for the first time. It took me two months, but damn it was good. Other than Omar, my favorite character was Wee-Bey. I even tried to list him as a co-author on a recent paper (I said he was a prof at University of Maryland-Baltimore).
