The Michigan-Figthing series has come down to the winner having a margin of victory of 4 points many times in recent history. Therefore I am picking UM to win 31-27. In a sloppy game(weather) We throw early and wear out the ND defense and basically run the ball down their throat late to secure the win.

17-0 Notre Dame.

Our offense has been unable to run the ball vs decent defenses and last week was really setup by the threat of the quick pass, which may be nerfed due to weather.

In order to win in bad weather, we'd need to be a disciplined team that doesn't turn the ball over and imposes our will in the trenches. That doesn't sound like this unit. I actually would be much more optimistic if it was going to be a clear night that we could keep pace and hang on to win.

This feels like an ugly game we lose in ugly fashion but people blame the weather and we all move on to our inevitable death against OSU.That said, hopefully Mork has expended his weather machine fuel on this PSU game so we can kick the shit out of Sparty at least.

I think the high winds are probably more important than the rain, but a combination of high winds and a slick ball means the pass game will be limited to dink and dunk.  Run game will be important but both teams are stout in stopping the run.  Will come down to turnovers and with rain that can be a very random thing ... anyone can lose the handle on a wet ball.  ND is going to muff a couple punts giving M at least one short-field score.  M won't be perfect but no killer turnovers and less mental errors at home.

My brain:

ND 17

M 6

Run game was helped a lot by Getting the ball on the perimeter. That’s not happening in a monsoon. Mason and BVS have not played enough to be valuable in the run game. Also bad weather + mistake prone offense + terrible kicking game = L.

My Heart:

M 21

ND 20

M is able to get their LBs running the wrong way fast a few times. Rain let’s up enough to throw it up to Nico!

14-12 ND. This time we start down 14-0 and fight our way back. Down 14-9 we go on a 5 minute drive and kick a field goal with 2:30 left. We kickoff deep and don't get the ball back. Despite not throwing the ball into the end zone a single time people still see this as evidence that we are turning the corner.

Oh sweet summer child. Sit down and let me tell you about Mark Dantonio and his pure hatred for Michigan, how his teams almost always play their best game against Michigan, how he seems to have some weird weather voodoo that causes crazy events just for the Michigan game, and how since Harbaugh took over the home team has lost every game in the series. Dear child, it is wise to assume a loss to MSU until proven otherwise.

If it is going to rain and be cold--well, that is the kind of weather the Irish would be familiar with as well.

Their defense is stout and they git after the passer hard.

Now that the offense is kicking it into high gear we will score 35 points.  Don fails to adjust to crossing routes until the 2nd half but hill picks up a key INT in the 4th so the Wolverines win 35 to 28.

Michigan 27

ND 19

We fall into a first quarter 10-0 hole and the fans in the stadium are about to implode and are screaming SAME SHIT DIFFERENT WEEK AARRRGGGHH!!!  Then Michigan goes on a 27-9 run to finish the final three quarters.

Damn, losing to Wisconsin and Penn State felt like a slam dunk but this one's tough

Gotta go Michigan, 30-21.  ND is a bit overrated (that Georgia 'win' looks worse and worse), Michigan is starting to come together, and I think we'll finally get a little luck.

Weather won’t favor a heavy turnover prone team. Plus our run blocking isn’t stellar to begin with and if the conditions limit the plan to favor run heavy, even worse against a very good Front 7 for ND.
Sadly, I’m sticking with my preseason prediction of this being a loss.

ND 23-10 UM

im hoping for a strong environment and to hear an even stronger “Ronnie! Ronnie”l! Ronnie!” Chant tomorrow l

This is a must win for ND to keep their playoff hopes alive. I think pressure will get to them and they will choke, while Michigan may make some mistakes but I think they will play loose and make some big plays. Michigan 24 - ND 20.
