Guess the Score - Iowa Edition

Penn State boatraced Iowa 31-0 when Iowa actually had some offensive skill players.  I'm going to go double and nothing, 62-0.

Michigan 31, Iowa 6.  UM plays conservative because it doesnt have to do otherwise.  Iowa cant score on UM, so why run JJ a dozen times, for example?  Why do any trick plays?  Play the standard run-heavy package.  UM will dominate time of possession and number of total yards, which inevitably leads to scores.

I'm guessing the Hawkeyes will kick a sad trombone field goal in the 3rd quarter when they are down by more than 20 points.

M pulls most of the starters in the 4th quarter.

Northwestern would have been a better West Division opponent, at least they score more points.

34-6. Starters out after scoring a TD on the first 2nd half drive. Backups give up an Iowa FG in the second half.

I only want two things out of this game -- a win and no injuries.

Very vanilla game, Michigan doesn’t do anything fancy, just wants to keep everyone healthy, but just slowly but surely overpowers a woefully outmatched opponent, probably 14-3 at the half. We’ll be frustrated but it won’t be in doubt, and then slowly pulling away after the half.

Lots of time for the backups, and a garbage time TD for Iowa.

Prediction - Iowa Rutgers itself running & passing and punts 100yds more than total offense.

Harbaugh and Ric Flair tag team and slam Tony Petitti and Paul Finebaum off the top turn buckle. Woooo!

Iowa 11 punts. 

My last two predictions for Maryland and OSU were 30-20 and 27-20 respectively. Those ended up 31-24 and 30-24 so I haven’t been too far off lately.
 

 I feel like we will rotate more players in that haven’t played a ton, anyone that is dinged up will sit and we won’t try to get too extravagant on offense or defense. Iowa has nothing to lose and will throw out several scripted drives that will end in mostly punts but a few field goals.  
 

I’m going to go 30-9 Michigan.

Hoping we can put 21 up at half and go full Penn State in the 2nd half. Biggest fear is this somehow turns into the Illinois game last year.

The Iowa Defense is as good as Penn St and Ohio State.  Since we scored 24 against Penn State and 30 against Ohio State, then 27 makes sense.

Iowa will turn one or two turnovers or Special Teams plays into 17 pts at most.  So consider this the most likely worst case scenario.
