Bair is one of our top targets at wide receiver for this class.

Thanks for clarifying.
Bair is expected to do a 2-year mission before college (Ala Andrew Gentry) so he will essentially be a 2026 recruit. = M is still expected to take 3-4 WR regardless of what happens with Bair.
Ahh yes. Great news in that case.
In the video, he says he wants to concentrate solely on football, which seems to be an advantage for us.
Wow. The dude glides. That is the slowest looking 10.18 I’ve seen. Everyone else is running their ass off and he was cruising.
He is a "long strider," Usain Bolt was the same way (and the obviously the best example).
Those big powerful dudes who can glide just a quarter of a step longer and maintain that top speed end up looking like they're running on air.
If they can get out of the blocks and not lose the race in the first 3 steps...cancel Christmas, it's over.
This kid looks like a football player, too. I haven't seen his tape, but I bet that if you don't successfully jam him at the line, you should just walk to the sideline and save your breath.
I watched his HUDL highlights and to me he seemed more fast than quick. Doesn’t appear to have that instant acceleration some guys do. While Michigan would obviously take him, I’m not wowed by his highlights.
Hmm...you piqued my interest. So I went and watched the first 3 minutes of his junior season highlights...thinking this was simply one of those speedsters who was blowing by kids and catching uncontested, wide open balls.
What I saw: 1) He has excellent hands, 2) He is fast 3) He is green, and most importantly 4) He is a football player.
Any criticisms of the 16 year old HS junior on this film is very unwarranted. And the interview clip says that this is the kind of kid Michigan is recruiting. He should be welcomed with open arms.
That seems fast... So Bair and Harbor are going to face off to see which one gets to come to Michigan?
FUN!!!!
Correction: which one gets to come faster.
I’m 100% confident Double-D could kick his ass in 40 meters 5% of the time.
Demar Dorsey? Has he finally gotten his grades up?
If I dove at his legs maybe but I think you get DQd for that.
So Bair runs .15 seconds faster than Harbor and Harbor is the one thinking he’s going to the Olympics in 24’? Hopefully those who said I was stupid for saying Harbor won’t make the Olympic team realize now that he won’t make the Olympic team for 24’. You cannot be TE size and be best in the world at T&F. But I’m sure they were more hyped about a 5* possibly coming to Michigan rather than looking at it logically.
Harbor should focus on whatever makes him happiest. But splitting time between football and track is more than likely meaning he’ll just have a middling college football career. Might blow up in the nfl when he’s told he is there to focus solely on football.
Bair's time was wind-aided (2.1 m/s) and Harbor's time wasn't (1.1 m/s). Bair's time was definitely superior but it was just a first round, so we'll see how the final goes
Regardless, Harbor’s thoughts of being an Olympic sprinter are a pipe dream.
You guys should pump the brakes on dismissing Harbor. US Olympic trial qualifying times for men’s 100m and 200m are 10.05 and 20.24 respectively. Harbor has PRd at 10.22 in the 100 and 20.79 in the 200 (eligible times not wind aided), and he’s only 17. It’s definitely not out of the question that with college level coaching he could make the US team for a relay.
He's on pace to get there eventually. The 200m is probably a better bet than the 100m. He's actually faster than Noah Lyles at the same age. The issue is that the best track stars have a moment where they take the leap from good to great, from qualifying level to winning level. It is completely unknown whether Harbor will take that leap. IMO it would make sense for him to try his best until 2024 then fall back to football.
This is correct. A lot of the HS kids with fast times have nearly peaked. A select few take another step or two.
You don’t know which you are unless you try.
Those would be huge improvements in about 14 months. If I’m wrong, I’ll happily donate $100 to the charity of your choice. If I’m right, you donate $100 to a charity I pick.
Sound good?
How shitty of a person am I that I was surprised that he is white?
Well. If it makes you feel any better, I was surprised to hear that Desmond Morgan was white.
Not shitty at all. Everyone was surprised he’s white.
Looking at the flags at the end of the video I would say that time is very much wind-aided, still a fast looking kid.
Dude has some serious wheels 🤪
Pretty good hops, too:

I figured Gatlin Bair was just another misspelling of Caitlin Clark.
That’s gliding but it’s also sucking gas and hauling ass
The difference is that Harbors is build like Shawn Oakman. I think that was a huge part of his appeal
OK he is a take. I like how he high points the ball and also there are clips in there showing him blocking as well (complete with some pancakes).
But the play that seals the deal is at the 3:25 mark. He throws a 70 yard TD WR pass off a reverse including taking a roughing the passer penalty....
Karma bitches...Karma...
sign him up...
Gatlin Bair finishes 1st in the final with a time of 10.28.

I guess he really is THAT fast. His highlights look crazy, like he’s just running past people; but I thought: Idaho…maybe he’s just that elite.
