Game Thread: Michigan v. Minnesota

So hard to figure this team out, they're so Jekyll and Hyde every game.

This game they're seemingly all Jekyll, which I think is the good one right?

We are having our Arizona State game where we play like a national champion. Each team gets this once or twice a season. I plan to enjoy this game with blind optimism. 

On pace for 128!

I'm shocked Barnes isn't getting any playing time, seems like you would really need to get him minutes at the 2/3.

Rotations felt a lot better in the first quarter.

Fouling Jett Howard on a three?  Minnesota is a train wreck. 

Uhhhh Ohhhh Michigan learned how to shoot a jumpshot? 

Is it just a coincidence or is Jett doing something to draw these fouls?

Can Jett take free throws from the 3-point line?

Minnesota is bad.

And somehow this game will come down to single digits in the closing minutes.

Could be my eyes but are we approaching the highlighter yellow on these jerseys like the Adidas ones a while back?

They look really good tonight so far. Dialed in, hitting shots. Free throws are the only negative. Not sure where Barnes is at, I thought for sure his time would increase, not decrease with Jaelin out. 

Excellent start.  Lots of people involved.  Surprised we haven’t seen Isaiah Barnes. Dude he a couple 3s against Kentucky and we obviously need guard help.

I don’t know who these guys in the blue who are shooting the lights out but I’ll gladly take it. Go Blue.

Cooper went for the poster jam - came up just four feet short 

4 Wolverines and 1 Gopher. Guess who got the rebound? SMFH 

We still can’t rebound for shit.

The Bufkin-led offense actually looked pretty good

The Garcia kid went from playing on North Carolina to playing at Minnesota…I’d say that’s hustling backwards!

And here comes the scoring drought…… 

This is feeling very similar to the Virginia game where Michigan starts hot on offense, the other team adjusts, and then Michigan has no answer.

Garcia has the unabashed beavis and butthead haircut - and it looks terrible 

Why does Williams feel the need to try to score whenever he touches the ball? We aren't getting any dribble penetration.

I believe that last out of bounds call off of TWll was a homer call. 

Last 5 minutes:  no defense, no rebounding and no shooting.  Went from a blowout to letting this terrible Minnesota team back in it.

Still haven’t figured out the hard hedge on offense and T Will absolutely kills me. I’d rather have Barnes in there

I said it earlier. I don’t think this team is bad, but they’re sort of joyless to watch. And the parts don’t mesh well. I don’t really see a philosophy on either end despite the intricacy of the sets.

I’ll phrase it this way: what is this team‘s calling card. How do they want to play?
