This is great. I can't imagine having such a shitty AD...

Finally..... something involving ND that I can agree with.

To think that just a couple of years ago, they were calling him "Savvy Jack"...

Just like this Jack screwed up Christmas, AD Jack screwed up ND Football

I liked it unitl he realized it wasn't still a movie. I laughed hard when they were dunking him and he kept yelling "Cut!"
December 8th, 2016 at 9:15 AM ^
His problems started by giving Weis another two years after he became AD. Should have fired that SOS immediately, and without the millions they ended up giving him.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading that. Thank you.

I thought it was 2 or 3. Sparty beat them and only got to 3.

Miami became NAIA to avoid NCAA compliance, right?
December 8th, 2016 at 8:51 AM ^
This is the first step. I'd prefer another 20-30 years of irrelevance for them, but I'm almost impressed that someone is looking in the mirror.
December 8th, 2016 at 8:54 AM ^
considering that alumni and boosters are the main reason that they didn't give TY the usual 5 years...so are theysaying that they want lard-ass Charlie Weis back?
December 8th, 2016 at 9:02 AM ^
I had the same thought initially, but I think they were pointing out that Ty was fired with a better overall win pct. while Kelly was extended with a worse one.

Yes, the comparison to Stanford was the most Notre Dame thing ever.

And which coach was it that turned around Stanford into the juggernaut it has become?
December 8th, 2016 at 12:18 PM ^
JH is obviously up the road in A2 and turned around the program immediately. UM is the benchmark for ND football.
And now we've solidified our claim to winningest program . . .
December 8th, 2016 at 8:55 AM ^
An additional bullet they should have added is that they have lost their place at number 1 on the all-time win percentage. That would have really brought change.
December 8th, 2016 at 9:02 AM ^
They've lost it a few times. It's gone back and forth between us and ND over the past decade.
December 8th, 2016 at 9:14 AM ^
With their vacated wins and Harbaugh at the helm in Ann Arbor, I don't think it's going back any time soon.
December 8th, 2016 at 9:21 AM ^
Or another bullet:
- Swarbrick put Michigan back on the Schedule
December 8th, 2016 at 10:08 AM ^
I'm pretty sure fans wanted this, otherwise there wouldn't have been such a quick schedule change to put us back on. I'm sure they loved the story of how they screwed us and ol Dave, but deep down, they want to paly us and know college football is better when they play us.
December 8th, 2016 at 11:27 AM ^
I'm pretty sure it was Michigan who paid $2M for the right to play ND, not the other way around. That decision looks increasingly dumb given the trajectory of ND's program.
December 8th, 2016 at 2:53 PM ^
ND is always an interesting game. I'll never complain about them being on the schedule.
December 8th, 2016 at 3:45 PM ^
and Michigan paid Arkansas to play ND, but ND would not be on the schedule if they didn't want to be.

December 8th, 2016 at 9:06 AM ^
That's simply a blind spot for too many Notre Dame people. The same people who paid for this ad would likely burn down the campus before allowing "their" team to join the Big Ten.
There is too much historical baggage there.
