considering that alumni and boosters are the main reason that they didn't give TY the usual 5 years...so are theysaying that they want lard-ass Charlie Weis back?

It said that Stanford has higher admission standards, much less historical success, and a lesser fan base than ND, and yet is having much more success. I'd say they were pretty honest with that appraisal (and since they still play each other every year, it was a natural school to compare to.)

An additional bullet they should have added is that they have lost their place at number 1 on the all-time win percentage. That would have really brought change.

I'm pretty sure fans wanted this, otherwise there wouldn't have been such a quick schedule change to put us back on. I'm sure they loved the story of how they screwed us and ol Dave, but deep down, they want to paly us and know college football is better when they play us.

badly needs to get out of that ACC cluster F they designed and join the BIG, if they still have an invitation. The BIG isn't perfect, but what they are currently doing is foolishness.

That's simply a blind spot for too many Notre Dame people.  The same people who paid for this ad would likely burn down the campus before allowing "their" team to join the Big Ten.

There is too much historical baggage there.
