I think Kelly is doing the best job that can be done there on the field. He just put 6 players in the first 3 rounds of the draft last year.

If they're expecting anything more than a possible title shot every 4-5 years then they would be wrong.

They can go ahead and compare themselves to Stanford academically, but they can't compare Palo Alto to South Bend.

I believe the "unremarkable" is a reference to how Savvy Jack handled the Declan Sullivan situation. When asked about the gale force winds that day Savvy Jack responded that the the wind was actually unremarkable. How Kelly kept his job after all that I will never know. I really hope Kelly is still there in 2018 so Harbaugh can humiliate him.

Pretty sure if ND joined (certainly after the Texas conference folds or autobids with playoff expansion gives the board of trustees an excuse), they'd go East and we'd never face conference rivals like Iowa/Wisc/Minny ever again. The West would get Oklahoma or Texas. Why? Because ND wants it that way and we have shown completely willing to capitulate to ND on everything. Road game right after an extra road game? No problem! Late October home game, if you don't want to prevent it altogether? Sign me up! Cancel very rare SEC West home and home for you? I'll get right on it!
