I can't help but think back to the game against Nebraska last year and think... Good Lord, let's not go through that again.
Put 'em away early. Would love to see as many backups playing as possible with a huge lead.

took our corn off last week in a symbolic gesture of defeating nebraska. okay, well, really we did it because the weather was good and it had dried enough on the stalk, but it sounded cool to say it was because of the game.
get up you slackers and get moving. it's a friday in november and football is still in the air for at least 3 more weeks. enjoy it. savor it. 9-0 and Lord willing on our way to 10-0 and beyond.

One of the things I like about this blog are the stray bits of knowledge that you come across. Like for instance:
"Took our corn off." I didn't know that was the term for it. (Of course, being a city boy whose idea of harvesting is mowing the lawn, I wouldn't.)

They almost had our number last year, if not for a late fumble by Martinez. They think they should have won in front of their fans and I have to believe they will be itching to get another crack at us. When talent is lacking, motivation is the only course of action. It will be important to take the wind out of their sails early, and Corum/Edwards are just the guys for the job. Trample those corn stalks!
