Yes, it's absolutely great news.  +1.

EUA application likely next week.

Approval likely by the end of the week of February 22 (given previous timelines).

First shots in arm for this vaccine likely before the calendar turns to March.

Less complex supply-chain versus other vaccines.

100M doses - which is 100M FULL vaccinations for a 1-shot regime --- likely distributed across America by May.

NovaVax also had positive results on their vaccine released Thursday.

Without a doubt, good news.  Another weapon in the war against covid.

I'm POSBANGING that I got my second negative covid test result by email late last night.  I unknowingly was exposed on my ice fishing weekend 13 days ago to someone who was sick with covid thru the holidays, someone who shouldn't have been there < one week after being cleared by just one negative test. My brother and a couple of my cousins have now gotten confirmation that we didn't catch the virus, my cousins especially were concerned because they help their sister with their 88-year old mom.

Now I know that besides not catching very many ?, I caught no covid.

Finally getting our youngest (a girl) to get the heck out of mom and dad's bedroom and start sleeping in her room starting today. She's our only girl and our last so we've indulged her, but she's got to go. Bang bang!

My family got a new dog yesterday so my not even one year old yet puppy has a play buddy! Now I have to figure out how to get the new one to stop chasing my cats. Bang bang!

Bang bitches!

A bittersweet day, sadly. A guy I was pretty good friends with at work died yesterday of a heart attack, only 56 years old. He was a music buff - had more knowledge than I do - and was a massive UM fan - nice to have down here in SEC country - so we bonded over those two things. He was one of those guys who would give you the shirt off his back without even thinking about it if you needed it. I'm going to miss you Rob.

I was psyched when my youngest received his Michigan acceptance letter.  Oh boy, reasons to go to Ann Arbor: at least 2 home games in the fall, wander around the campus, wax nostalgic, be that old creepy guy at Rick's...

Then youngest said, "Dad, I would rather go to William & Mary".

Fuck.
