Friday Night Games Sickos Thread
Three games to choose from:
- (ESPN) Tulane at Memphis - I've only seen commercials so far...
- (CBS Sports Network) Fresno St at Utah St - (NT)FSU used to be ranked, until Wyoming got them last week. Utah St is 3-3...
- (ESPN2) Georgia high school football!!! #6 Buford at Mill Creek - both teams are 6-0 and its currently tied at 10. Buford has Michigan commit Montez Walker.
(Meta: Is it me, or is the board super duper slow tonight?)

I was accused of racism for saying Colorado isn't a good team 🤷
October 14th, 2023 at 1:59 AM ^
Sanders is really showing his inexperience as a coach tonight. This game has been horribly managed by the Colorado staff.

Very Roman Wilson!!
October 14th, 2023 at 2:00 AM ^
Oh
My
God
October 14th, 2023 at 2:01 AM ^
Roman Wilson catch
October 14th, 2023 at 2:01 AM ^
WHAT A CATCH!!! That trumped Roman's helmet catch a couple weeks ago! That kid needs to transfer to Michigan - he'd put that WR room over the top...
October 14th, 2023 at 2:02 AM ^
294yds for that guy lol
October 14th, 2023 at 2:04 AM ^
…in the 2nd 1/2
October 14th, 2023 at 2:04 AM ^
I don't know why colorado is messing around dropping back and throwing the ball. Stanford can't stop their run game. The Dline isn't formidable.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:16 AM ^
2nd to last series is why you keep throwing it if you’re CU
October 14th, 2023 at 2:04 AM ^
This game is absolutely bonkers
October 14th, 2023 at 2:06 AM ^
Wait...the DB is actually in front but gets called for not allowing Hunter BACK to the ball??? Wtf is that call...Hunter grabbed the dude with 2 hands.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:07 AM ^
Oh Boy!
October 14th, 2023 at 2:08 AM ^
Hell yeah!! fuck Colorado!! Hopefully the media shuts up about it now!
October 14th, 2023 at 2:08 AM ^
Picked in the EZ - Sanders showed some bad decision making right there. Probably cost his team the game...
October 14th, 2023 at 2:08 AM ^
When I turned this game on at 12:20 it was 29-0 and Stanford moneyline wasn't even available
October 14th, 2023 at 2:08 AM ^
Hunter could've tried something to break that up. Yikes.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:09 AM ^
Shit. Figured it was safe to go to bed. I woke up in another timeline apparently.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:09 AM ^
This is why you don't go for it on 4th down on your own side of the field up 29. The entire game changed on that decision.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:13 AM ^
Coaching malpractice.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:10 AM ^
6 more of those oughta do it!
Nope...kicking it. Game. Blouses (of the Cardinal variety).
October 14th, 2023 at 2:10 AM ^
Bye Bye Buffs
October 14th, 2023 at 2:10 AM ^
Yes. Back to the farm with a big win
October 14th, 2023 at 2:11 AM ^
What a choke job. Hype train for Deion just went off the cliff
October 14th, 2023 at 2:11 AM ^
Good for the tree.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:11 AM ^
Blowing a 29 point lead to one of the worst teams in the country is impressive, at home no less.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:11 AM ^
Hahahahahahaha sorry prime nuthuggers, but it is an incredible failure as a coach to allow the greatest comeback in program history to the 118th offense in football. Advanced metrics have Stanford ranked 100+. Insanely embarrassing loss at home.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:13 AM ^
8 wins is going to be tough.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:14 AM ^
Saying that makes you some kind of ism! How dare you!
October 14th, 2023 at 2:17 AM ^
Agreed. As the one who said that (about 8 wins), I recognize that, own it, and understand that comment will get me some flack. No biggie. I’ll adjust to seven wins and a bowl game, and that’s nothing to be disappointed in from where this program was. It’s still a fun story and will continue to be.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:26 AM ^
I don't disagree, but I do find it tiresome getting labeled constantly for any form of criticism. I even said if Colorado reached the threshold I would change my opinion. 4 wins is obviously an improvement, but a lot seems to hinge on Shedeur being pretty good and Hunter being a beast (he's clearly being overplayed at this point IMO).
I still have them only winning 5 games this season and missing a bowl. I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose out. 18 penalties is a serious issue.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:34 AM ^
No question. I agree with you. They win or lose based on how Shadeur plays. It’s obviously a team with a ton of work and growth to do. A loss like this will go a long to help with that. I actually appreciated your prior comment about the dislike being about the media and not about Sanders personally. I can get on board with that - the media is insufferable. But as a fan, I’ve enjoyed the story and will continue to the rest of this season and beyond. The nice part of Colorado not being my team (we’re on a Michigan site, after all) is that I won’t lose any sleep about them losing that game because it was awesome to watch that Stanford kid ball out. I do think they’ll get to seven, but even if they don’t I’ll still watch and not regret it (and admit if I’m wrong).
October 14th, 2023 at 2:49 AM ^
I appreciate and respect your comment as well. I find it sad people attack your character just for having what is apparently an unpopular opinion. There was a thread on Sanders on here when he became the coach where I said it was interesting and didn't have much of an opinion.
If you ever rewatch just listen to how often they refer to "coach Prime". They should be focusing on the team. I see deion every commercial break of every game. Finding that annoying doesn't make me evil. He could end up being a good coach, he could end up being a bad coach, but criticism shouldn't result in racist accusations.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:08 AM ^
Thanks! I enjoyed our back and forth. And I completely agree - a difference of opinion shouldn’t ever lead to someone saying that to you. That’s something we can definitely agree about!
October 14th, 2023 at 3:35 AM ^
When the coach makes everything about himself, it isn’t as though portraying that in the media should be frowned upon. You act like Sanders didn’t come in flashy as shit, essentially kicking half the team to the curb. Even his comments after getting his ass kicked are extremely arrogant. Usually a coach that gets stomped 42-6 (and let’s face it, Oregon could have dropped 80 on them) and outgained by 300 yards would show a little humility. What did Sanders do? Puff his chest out about the future because “this is the worst we’ll be.” Well sir, that wasn’t true because you just blew a 29 point lead to one of the worst teams in the nation. And somehow that’s the media’s fault for highlighting the coach? This team talks a lot of shit, flashing expensive watches after beating 1-4 teams. They are entirely mediocre but act like they are world beaters. I wonder where they get it?
October 14th, 2023 at 4:19 AM ^
I'd be embarrassed if I was an alum. Seeing the prime branding bleed into every part of the advertising for CU would scare me. Will they still be advertising their "prime education" and "prime location" when he jumps ship in a couple years?
October 14th, 2023 at 3:19 AM ^
I would absolutely love for you to tell me where the additional 3 wins come from. Have you actually looked at their schedule?
October 14th, 2023 at 3:26 AM ^
I have - and I have watched all of their games except for last week’s (don’t get PAC-12 Network). I think they could win any of those games except for WSU, honestly. Even Utah, especially if Cam Rising doesn’t end up playing this year. They’ll win two games in there somewhere. Third will come in the bowl game.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:43 AM ^
I don’t know why you keep mentioning that you’ve watched all their games. Everyone has watched all their games. ESPN can’t stop showing their games and highlights because they are media darlings. You didn’t even answer the question. Where are the 2 wins? Arizona and? What about them struggling against shitty teams makes you think they will win 2 more games, one of them having to come against a ranked opponent with 3 out of the 5 in the road? They have yet to beat a team with a winning record and now they are going to do it twice, once against s ranked team?
October 14th, 2023 at 7:40 AM ^
The wins will be in there. Or they won’t. And even if they don’t come, the people who have enjoyed this story will keep on enjoying this story. Don’t expect the viewership numbers and interest in this story to fall off.
October 14th, 2023 at 10:41 AM ^
Way to stand on that prediction. Lol. “I predict they win 8 games. Now I predict they win 7. Until I don’t predict that and they win fewer than that.”
October 14th, 2023 at 5:00 AM ^
0.0 chance they beat Utah. That’s a coaching mismatch.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:12 AM ^
That receiver had a game of a lifetime and it won them the game. Didn’t matter who covered him. Not sure I’ve seen anything like that. Wow.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:14 AM ^
Does the phrase "Braylon game" mean anything to ya?!
I get your point though. There's been some others I've seen like this (ugh I just realized Sparty dude had one with Connor Cook a few years back).
October 14th, 2023 at 2:18 AM ^
Did either of them have THAT many yards? I honestly don’t remember.
October 14th, 2023 at 3:15 AM ^
Jeremy Gallon had 369 against Indiana in 2013.
October 14th, 2023 at 8:36 AM ^
Wow, I don't remember that, I just remember we had some crazy games against IU in those years. I need to go watch those highlights right now.
Edit: watched the highlights, and damn, Fitz Toussaint could cut laterally. Galleon was exhausted in the 2nd half.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:12 AM ^
Definitely rooting for Elic Ayomanor to play on Sundays.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:12 AM ^
What an insane comeback.
What an epic collapse.
October 14th, 2023 at 2:14 AM ^
It's a shame Pac12 after dark is falling by the wayside.
