Friday Night Games Sickos Thread
Three games to choose from:
- (ESPN) Tulane at Memphis - I've only seen commercials so far...
- (CBS Sports Network) Fresno St at Utah St - (NT)FSU used to be ranked, until Wyoming got them last week. Utah St is 3-3...
- (ESPN2) Georgia high school football!!! #6 Buford at Mill Creek - both teams are 6-0 and its currently tied at 10. Buford has Michigan commit Montez Walker.
(Meta: Is it me, or is the board super duper slow tonight?)

Fresno makes a pretty great interception to seal the game.

Should stanford be relegated to fcs?
October 14th, 2023 at 1:11 AM ^
No, because then it’d be hard for them to win the directors cup every year! Unless you’re just talking about football, then I’d say go to the Ivy League

Watching Stanford/Colorado, it's jarring how much Colorado is driven by a couple of incredibly good players. Sanders and Hunter do not belong on the same field as the Stanford defense. It reminds me of some of the games I played in high school where we were just so overmatched against bigger schools, it was laughable.
Up front, it feels like these two teams are comparable. But just no answer for Colorado's passing game which is all about skill position dominance.
October 14th, 2023 at 12:00 AM ^
Colorado has fast skill position players.
October 13th, 2023 at 11:43 PM ^
Wow, Stanford is dreadful.
October 13th, 2023 at 11:55 PM ^
Stanford's 118th ranked scoring offense is... overrated.
October 13th, 2023 at 11:58 PM ^
I guess I haven't watched a Stanford game in a long time. They are fucking terrible.
They should have asked to join the IVY league instead of the ACC. They are either unwilling or unable to compete in modern FBS
October 14th, 2023 at 12:11 AM ^
They both had their stretches where they were quite good in FBS under Tedford and Harbaugh/Shaw. But they couldn't sustain it when those guys left.
I guess that's the difference between a good program versus just a good coach.

I loved Deion as a player. I love Deion as a coach. His kids play hard for him. They seem to be well coached.
The fact that this team won exactly one game last year and this year have been in the spotlight is cool.
I'm on the Buffs bandwagon
October 14th, 2023 at 12:28 AM ^
Stanford makes everything look hard.
EDIT: Except that 97 yard TD!!
October 14th, 2023 at 12:46 AM ^
And that 63 yard TR
October 14th, 2023 at 12:39 AM ^
Well that was bad Colorado
October 14th, 2023 at 12:46 AM ^
Buff-oonery
October 14th, 2023 at 12:46 AM ^
Is this a real game now? A 97-ydr and a 60-ydr make it 29-19 all of a sudden! Stanford's WRs seem fast...
October 14th, 2023 at 12:53 AM ^
Now Stanford has the ball back inside CU territory! They have LIFE!!
October 14th, 2023 at 12:55 AM ^
Colorado gonna pull one of the greatest choke jobs ever!
October 14th, 2023 at 12:56 AM ^
Ever since I turned this game on 20 minutes ago Colorado has looked like the worst college football team I've ever seen
Like sub-2016-Rutgers
October 14th, 2023 at 12:57 AM ^
Sanders the QB is no question a talented player, however he can not diagnose complex blitz packages…
Good coaches can take advantage of Colorado, just have to have some skill players. You can out scheme Prime pretty easily.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:05 AM ^
First and second halves are like two completely different games.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:07 AM ^
Three TDs in a row and its a 3-point game!
October 14th, 2023 at 1:09 AM ^
Epic meltdown
October 14th, 2023 at 1:10 AM ^
I think Deion is ready to murder his DC. Now...I've no clue what is truly happening and if this is player issues (the defense sucks in general) or if truly some coaching and communication problems. But he looks like he may call upon Diablo by night's end.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:14 AM ^
Big hit on Hunter. Buff nation collectively crapped their pants.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:15 AM ^
It takes a bad team to let a wretched Stanford back in the game. Holy cow. I guess I shouldn't have turned the game off.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:16 AM ^
Colorado seems like they went on a bender in the first half, it wore off at halftime, they're passed out in an alley behind a dumpster in the 3rd quarter, and someone just woke them up and told them the cops are now looking for them in the 4th quarter. What the fuck is this game
October 14th, 2023 at 1:24 AM ^
My PTSD from Don Brown's OSU games is coming back watching Stanford hit slants.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:27 AM ^
Hunter fails to make a tackle after looking real weak in run defense and not playing great coverage.... almost seems like you shouldn't play guys on every snap in a football game. Especially coming off an injury.
He's a great player. Not being put in the best situations.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:29 AM ^
9 catches for 242yds, jesus
*edit. Now 10 for 249
October 14th, 2023 at 1:29 AM ^
That #13, he's a beast. Wonder if he's looking to transfer?
October 14th, 2023 at 1:30 AM ^
What...the fuck...is Colorado doing with personnel?!
3pt game again. This might get juicy.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:30 AM ^
WHOA NELLIE!
October 14th, 2023 at 1:31 AM ^
This is why I stay up - PAC12 After Dark never disappoints!
October 14th, 2023 at 1:33 AM ^
I never thought I'd see the day that Stanford had an explosive offense but here we are, Colorado found the way
October 14th, 2023 at 1:33 AM ^
How does Coach Prime have the worst secondary in the country?
October 14th, 2023 at 1:37 AM ^
Lol he's lucky his son is a really good QB or they would be experiencing another 1 win season.
October 14th, 2023 at 5:06 AM ^
Is his son a really good QB? He's a really athletic QB... which gets him in trouble as seen by him taking 30 sacks so far.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:37 AM ^
He and Mel have 2 things in common!
October 14th, 2023 at 1:40 AM ^
His team was 1-11 last year and his best db is playing iron man football…
October 14th, 2023 at 3:15 AM ^
He also has something like 60 new kids on the team and a bunch of highly ranked recruits. Why anyone mentions 1 win last year is beyond me….this team is nothing like last years team
October 14th, 2023 at 4:08 AM ^
Lol, great question
October 14th, 2023 at 1:44 AM ^
That was a punt! At the 1.5 yd line and out of bounds - a perfect kick!
October 14th, 2023 at 1:53 AM ^
Iowa is getting their NIL collective together for an emergency meeting.
It was really impressive for a punt.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:45 AM ^
Prime will be like a football John Calipari. He'll recruit really well and rely on talent advantages to win games.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:52 AM ^
BOOM. On to OT.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:53 AM ^
Colorado in another pillow fight! Takes a special team to let the 118th ranked offense come back from 4 scores down to force OT. Amazing.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:56 AM ^
It's just another example of how courageous Colorado is! Battling mighty Stanford into overtime! /s
October 14th, 2023 at 2:03 AM ^
What do you mean? Colorado is such a good, well coached team this year! Stanford just found themselves tonight.
October 14th, 2023 at 1:53 AM ^
OT!!!!
Why is the PAC 12 going away - the football is fantastically competitive and fun to watch!
October 14th, 2023 at 1:54 AM ^
17 penalties tonight is not a well coached team.
Has M even had that many all season?
To overtime.
