Ohio @ Purdue, Oklahoma State @ Southern Alabama Purdue looks alright, glad to see they aren't laying an egg after playing Louisville tough last saturday. Also, I know I am behind the times (by 3 years) but Mason Rudolph looks like more than a system QB down in Stillwater.

I have to think Frank Solich gave a halftime speech that was along the lines of "That worked out exactly like I thought except for pretty much everything, so yeah, let's talk about what we won't do.....this should only take an hour or so...."

I agree about the bigger stage and if a blue blood comes calling Purdue won't be able to keep him despite having B1G money. But if Brohm wants to compete annually for conferences titles, there isn't a better place for that than the B1G West. No school recruits at an elite level so Purdue will never be overwhelmed by talent. They avoid the big three of the East, MSU and a fast rising Maryland. You make it to the title game and in a one game scenario, anything can happen. If he were to go to A&M for example, he would have tons of resources, access to recruits, etc. but A&M is best case third in the division behind Alabama and LSU, and you can argue historically behind Auburn. Now he could take the Florida job which is probably going to open in 1-2 years, but now you've got an annual game with FSU. You've also got a rival in Georgia that can equal or exceed UF in talent in addition to an annual crossover with LSU (equals or exceeds UF's talent). So yes Florida, A&M, etc. is a much better job but the path to a conference title is more difficult. And if you don't win the title, you're getting fired in 4 years. Will be interesting to see how Purdue progresses under Brohm. It's early, but he's looking like the best hire in collese football this season.
