Thats a hilarious gif, but it ends up making me mad because i was screaming at the tv during that play asking what the hell Metellus was doing on that play. He just stood there and stared at the line of scrimmage instead of playing contain on the qb rollout.
Saw the question about an update on Crawford and Jim said "nothing yet" . During the game it just looked like he had a calf cramp. He was stretching his foot like how people do when they cramp up. Maybe Jim hadn't had an update yet before the presser.
I don't think we have to worry about Don Brown being poached away for a head coaching job. Any program that would be able to offer him enough money for him to condider it, isn't gonna hire a head coach that old. And if a MAC school or the equivalent offers him a head coach position, the money probable won't be much better than what he's paid here.
He didn't do jackshit with 'less" until that new OC showed up. And it helps to have a super cyborg running back that can single handedly beat most teams in the FBS.
If Wadley goes down at the 1 or 2, they can down it 3 times and PSU uses all their timeouts and Iowa kicks the fg with about 30 seconds left. So PSU has 30 seconds with no timeouts. Easy to armchair quarterback that but kind of different when your running down the field for a game winning td.
What did that loudmouth Receiver that was so sure they'd rout us, and was upset about not playing OSU this year, say? Thats the post game comment i want to hear.
Maybe our offense woke up a bit today. Looks like Maryland came back to earth today too. And Nebraska was losing at home to Rutgers for a good part of the game. Yuck.
If we had even a mediocre offense we'd have a good chance to be BIG champions and playoff contenders. But this offense is gonna steer us to a 8-4 type season.
Hahaha, yeah because us running a trick play in the 1st quarter when it is a 7-0 game is exactly like running a trick play in the 4th quarter when you are up 40+ points. Thanks for pointing out exactly how similar both those plays were.
I love Adidas' casual shoes. Have had several pairs over the years. Stan Smiths. Rod Lavers. Campus. Sambas back in the day. etc Never bought a pair of Adidas sports shoes thought. When i bought shoes for basketball or running or working out, its always been Nike.
I missed the first few minutes of the game so i went back and watched the first 2 possesions. You're absolutely right that Crawford did an awful job of adjusting to the ball on the opening play of the game. That should have been a really easy play to let the dback run right by and come back to the ball. It hung up in the air plenty long enough to make a play on it. Kinda looked like Crawford was trying to draw a flag instead of trying to make a play for the ball.
I enjoy Joel Klatt as an analyst, and yes Texas is playing better defense than they did against Maryland. But that play didn't have much to do with great defense. That was a gift
This tells me more about Purdues D than their offense. Missouri is terrible but they do have a decent offense. They scored like 80 points a game or 2 ago. So holding them to 3 is probably more impressive than scoring 35 on them. The dogshit team Mizzou scored 80 on managed to score like 50 points on them as well. So it probably means purdue has a serviceable defense. Unfortunatly thats all that is needed when our offense is playing as pitifully as it is currently.

Well in good UM news, Funchess has 2 TD's today so far. New Englands D is not good this year.
Did Penn St break Iowa?
LOL. Thorson is Dan Orlovsky. What a fucking stupid play
Did they say that Wash State's stadium only holds 33,000 people? What the fuck. Thats a MAC level stadium.
Tony Romo seems to talk a lot. Like a lot more than the average color guy

Whats so strange about that? Thats a tyical Iowa game. Get outgained and outplayed yet still somehow win or almost win the game.

27 is only 5'6" tall apparently
If i'm Iowa, i call a timeout. Defense looks tired
Should he have gone down at the 2? Scored too quickly?
Fucking Iowa at night. So strange
So theres under 3 minutes left, and Iowa has a chance to drive to kick a field goal to beat a top 5 team. Its like some wierd Kinnick magic

IF he's that good of a coach, he won't be at Purdue in a few years
Sparty NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Gassed?? They've only played like 15 plays in the last hour and 15 minutes. They are fresh baby.
Chase and Rashan should room together so Chase can show him some moves.
Still wanna talk shit about that offense Purdue fans?? Thats what a real defense does to teams. Welcome to the big leagues.
Cesar Ruiz i beleive

Runyon in there on that one
Woooooooo. 2 for 2 in the Red zone
Anyone else wanna see Ben Mason leading the way down here close to the end zone?
I doubt they want their Defensive starters to fake injuries and have to sit out a 3rd down in the redzone
Ok, i'm calling Hard count right here. 3rd and short, Purdue is gonna be aggressive. Get them to jump offsides.
WOW
You guys are all wrong. We are getting good quarterback play. Its just that the QB is playing tight end. Gentry for Offensive MVP.
FUCK. oif course

Bad offense + turnovers = no win

Well that didn't take long
You guys are missing a pretty good boxing match
Yup, theres that awesome Texas D for ya.

Hey a ball that should have been caught turns into a pick 6. Where have i seen that before?

This year. They mentioned it in the first quarter of the Cincy game on the radio broadcast.
Imagine how good they'd be if Rosen would quit throwing interceptions
Look what good ole Jedd pulled out today.
Lame excuse. Teams do it with those factors all the time in modern day college football.
That holding call was complete bullshit
Maybe we could hire the Memphis OC But then again he is playing against the UCLA defense, which is about as easy as it gets.
