Friday Night football open thread

Some quality matchups tonight with Miami traveling to Duke and USC traveling to Wazzu. Nebraska also travels to Illinois but that game shouldn't be too interesting.

The Duke crowd too much tonight. Deliberate choice by camera crew? I'm assuming it's thin. Is it too much to ask the students, on a Friday night, to show up like they do for Duke basketball? The team is 4-0. Granted, we're talking very different capacities and Duke football, but c'mon!

Nebraska could legitimately lose to Illinois. If they do, it’s hard to see Riley lasting the whole year.

There’s not a lot of teams left on the schedule I sit there and say Nebraska SHOULD beat. If any. They barely scraped by Rutgers.

WSU is not a very big school with only 20,000 students. They don't have much history either. Mike price had an amazing run in the 90s and early 2000 but that's really it. Mike leach is doing a great job bringing them back to relevance

Just watched Indianapolis Cathedral and Ryle HS (in Union, KY) on ESPNU.  Cathedral stopped Ryle on a 4th and goal at the 1/2 yard line as time ran out to hold on for the win. The last play was a QB sneak;  Cathedral brought in Michigan commit, Emil Ekiyor to play NT, and he helped stuff the QB for no gain.  Overall, Ekiyor looked good, though his ankle injury is bothering him
