Yes, your point clarifies my post.  UM didn't make them the punks that they are.  They came in as such and didn't take advantage of the chances to identify character flaws and have them removed (as is the task of us all).  It's never too late.  I hope they both get the help they need to become better civilians and representatives of UM.

The Schutt sticker inside the helmet says it was ordered in August 2007 and there's a Capitol Varsity sticker saying it was refurbished and certified in 2011. So I first reached out to Elliott Mealer, he said it might be Frank's, but Frank said it wasn't. I then sent a picture to Adam Kraus, but haven't heard back yet. If he doesn't recognize it, then this might be a practice helmet or maybe an equipment manager slapped a #57 sticker on it and sold it? I don't know, but I'm enjoying the research!

Haha, I'm sure he does! It's got a distinguishing number engraved by hand with a dremel tool so the right resources will make all the difference! I did reach out to the equipment manager but getting a response could be a long shot. Either way, I'll be wearing it proudly in one of Tampa's largest sports bars on opening day!

I know it's camp, I know it's your teammate and part of training camp, I get that guys get into these fights every year, I get all that.

At the same time, didn't Clark get into a fight with a teammate last year as well?   And we all know the terrible incident that got him kicked out of UM.  At some point, all of these "isolated instances" and "moments of passion" become a straight freaking line, pointing at a guy who probably has anger/control issues and who we might be given a pass because he's really good at football.
