Knew he was leaving but didn't know the destination. Best of luck to him! We'll always have East Lansing.

I was more concerned about that Penn State offer he received. They already have a nice team coming back next season. Imagine going into Happy Valley next season to see Andrel put on a clinic against us... (Then again, I could say the same thing about MSU (minus the whole, they have a good team), which would be worse...)

Regardless, I'm glad we wont have to play him.

Best of luck to that young man!

Is that not the worst looking faux bucky lookin' high faluttin' sooner uni you ever saw?

Trying to figure out why staying was not the obvious option.  If he had followed cade or bowman it would have been less baffling.  That said, you never know the stuff he dealt with at M.  Lots of competition, being from EL, qb and scheme changes etc.

No that would be a bad rule. This is still school. If any student can transfer wherever they want athletes should be able to as well. I know in the past a lot of coaches would block guys from transferring to certain teams. They always looked like assholes in doing so. I’m not even sure if I’ve heard of that anytime recently though. Maybe someone else knows

edit: Pretty sure this somehow is a reply to the wrong post. Anyways y’all can figure out I think

Glad for him.  After the East Lansing performance I always thought he was on the cusp of a breakout at some point.  Hope he gets there at his next destination

I was really hoping he'd change his mind. He did not make the leap this year but I still think his "sleeper of the year status" can pay off. Even if not here.

I cant forget the Illinois game he had an opportunity to shine but just didn't work out.

Good luck at OU

I can’t help but think if he catches that ball against Illinois, does he end up transferring? If he catches it, then the coaches and JJ have more confidence in him which would lead to more snaps and maybe more targets and maybe some catches in the last 3 games. He feels good about the way the season ends heading into his Junior year. Instead he dropped it and the complete opposite happened.

Oh well - all the best AA.

I think it is telling when one of your best friends on the team is the new stsrting QB, who you would routes with immediatelt coming back fr9m away games last year. They had so much work in together that you would think JJ would have given him a couple chances in gsmes to make a big play like just throwing it up to him. If one of my best friends was any good i would make jt a point to at least target him once a game but that didnt even happen. I feel like that tells you how good Anthony actually was

I mean the guy had 7 receptions this year if I remember correctly and 12 as a freshman. He had one good game, other than that his career even with our rushing dominant offense was never trending towards stud really. He also doesn’t appear to have great hands. Guys like Braylon for example produce early and have a clear trajectory. He had almost 70 receptions, over 1,000 yards and 10 TD’s as a sophomore. Now we shouldn’t expect that from him in this offense but he was basically a ghost this year. I wonder if he can play corner. Either way he’s a sooner now. Good luck to him and hope it all works out.

I always wonder if players even consider the "disrespect" factor of transferring inside the conference.  I'm thrilled AA is headed to OU where I'm sure he'll do great things.  Had he transferred to PSU, I would have been seriously bummed -- and had it been staee, I would have felt immediately disrespected, which would immediately change my warmth for Andrel.

I guess I'm saying:

A)  Out of conference transferring ok.  You left Michigan, but at least you showed some class

B)  In conference to an up and comer, not great.  But you get your playing time and you're ok not being competitive with Michigan

C)  OSU or Staee is "pulling a boren" and immediately douchifies you (it's a technical term).  I hope you lose every game and have your only pro prospects with the Edmonton Elks.

It's one thing if your transfers are going to MAC schools, but we're seeing more transfers to better programs, with success following.   The glass is half full part of that is the talent level has significantly increased.

The offer list is the piece of the equation that is perplexing.  When he was able to haul in targets he was borderline electric.  He had some drops, but he didn’t really get enough opportunity to have a lot of drops.  I’m very interested in other’s opinions on this one.  Only thing I can think of is his run blocking wasn’t what the program was looking for.  One thing that is apparent by his offers is that not a lot of other P5 programs felt that way.  I would love to see him perform well at OU.
