Knew he was leaving but didn't know the destination. Best of luck to him! We'll always have East Lansing.

He had trouble getting off the line against press coverage and against any coverage that bodied him up, so far as I can tell. He might be more Xavier Worthy-like in the Big 12, where they give you more space off the line. In any case, good luck to him.

He has 19 career receptions. Now of course he could still “blow up” I guess but it doesn’t seem likely. Remember he wasn’t some big stud recruit coming out of high school. Also he is transferring to Venables OU not Riley. I didn’t watch them this year, do they still try and air it out? Either way it isn’t LR and his proven offensive system in Norman anymore.

We knew he was going Sooner (or later)

Hope he shows out!
Didn't do much with his targets this year but hopefully that corrects itself for him with a larger sample size.

What went wrong?

Nothing really. He was behind some really good players and was still young and developing his route trees. Add in a few untimely drops and what looks to be a really sharp class behind him and there you go.

Token statement of dubiously sincere well wishes.

OTish/threadjack but I also saw on Twitter former RB Christian Turner is playing his final season at Indiana after some time at Wake Forest. Had over 500 yards rushing the past 2 seasons.

Interesting...was wondering what happened to him.

He'll definitely get the ball there, good luck to him.

Seemed like he was the #5 receiver here (#6 if I add in Donovan Edwards). Maybe he'll get higher than that at Oklahoma. But maybe will end up lower too.

Except he started virtually every game this year. So he was really more of the 2/3 receiver, but never made any meaningful catches.

Dude had 7 catches for like 50 yards
Forget meaningful, he barely had any catches period

...but remember - there are schools where you could be the #3 WR and have more catches than the #1 WR at Michigan.
There are other schools where you can be the #3 WR, and be on the field almost every offensive play.
Etc.

I wish him the best. Not a fan of OU but always a minor threat to win the natty. Slim has left town on next year though.

Good luck Andrel!

Makes sense to go to a Big 12 team. Much easier to showcase your talents in a league without defense.

Good luck to him. Hopefully he can see the field in OU and be successful.

Wont Michigan play at Oklahoma when he's a senior?
Edit: Never mind. Its at Texas next year then Oklahoma the following year.

I heard he was headed for Missouri, but overran it.
Yeah, OK, I wish him well in the end. It didn't work out here. This is a strange pace for receivers, and it's not necessarily their fault. I keep thinking of DPJ and how talented he is, and how frustrating it was that he never was a game-breaker here.
