Erick All's Touchdown Up Close

Submitted by SecretAgentMayne on November 15th, 2021 at 6:06 PM

Here's a cool, short video that popped up on my recommended videos on YT of Erick All's TD to seal the game from an up close fan's perspective that I thought you all might be interested in. Upload courtesy of YT user Johnny Olden.

I'm telling you man, it's all about the crossing routes. Go Blue!

I’ll be honest…I was happy, cheered for a second, and then went back to being extremely nervous. I saw the time remaining and felt very uneasy.

Two 4th quarter come from behind wins, and game sealing defensive stops (and in this case, got the needed 1st down to ice the game). Maybe this year really is different. We will know for sure in a week and a half

PSU in man to man.  Trips to the right all running to the left leaving Erik All moving to the right and his defender running into a fellow Penn State player = gold or I mean maize.

480p!? What is this, 2007?

Kidding. Kind of.

Great angle. I was watching with family and didn't have the sound on so I didn't realize how wide open the field was. Assumed someone would get All after about 15 yards but that obviously never happened. Hell yeah!

Totally agree with the crossing pattern comment. We now have a handful of very big plays that fall into the crossing route pattern category. OSU makes a living out of those plays and for the life of me I could never understand why they weren't in our repertoire. Hopefully Gattis will now use them more often.

When he caught that, you could sense that it was going to be a TD or damn near. I finally sat down on the sectional after having been pacing around the family room for much of the game.

I was searching YouTube yesterday to see if there was a phone camera shot of All’s touchdown and when I couldn’t find one, I figured that no Michigan fan in the crowd probably expected us to score from THAT far out so nobody would be recording.

Thank you for this.  Love it.

That is cool, but I would have been way more excited.  I was watching the game from a hotel room in Adrian.  I was yelling Go. Go. Go as loud as I could.. My wife was giving me the "shut up" look as the walls were a bit thin at this old hotel.

I've watched this play like 20 times. The crowd is so loud and then when All catches the ball, the air just gets sucked out of the stadium. Once he scored I knew UM was going to win. If Harbaugh can start pulling out a few of these games, the future is very bright.

What a great view!!!  I had no idea he angled over to the sideline until around the 10-yd line.  I thought his turn was sharper than that and took him straight down the sideline - the power of angled views can be really deceiving!

Also, a previous description of this play from me was totally wrong, other than that only the MLB noticed him going the opposite direction of everyone else.  This is why I should never critique a play based on a live view!
