With all the credit recovery, and online classes basically every public high school takes advantage.  This isn't a surprise.  You don't have to sit in boredom 7 hours a day 5 days a week anymore.

Now whether he actually did the necessary work is a matter I don't know, but neither do you.

I am a teacher who is part of two programs of alternative education/ online credits.

No.  Anyone else can pay them to do just about anything legal.  If Penny happened to mention it to a friend that this guy would be a good ambassador for a business, I am sure an arrangement could be made.  Of course, the conversation never happened and the friend hires the athlete to help grow the business.  There are many slips betwixt a cup and a lip.

Is not a little late for this? Our incoming freshman have been on campus for a while, practicing with the team and working out. At what point is he going to decide?

Izzo has a three key selling points

1- You have liked us all your life. That’s why you committed to us early.

2- No one cares about core classes here. You will easily be admitted

3- When you are not practicing you can work on NIL making big money. Our tutors can help you write your papers. In fact, all you will have to do is sign your name. It’s hard to flunk out of this place. But if you do, by the time you flunk out  we’ll be national champs.

Going to college gets him away from dad, out of the house, and to a potential starting point of independence. Best wishes for Emoni's health, success, and future!

I don't want to knock a kid for doing his thing but I really think Emoni will be a headache. And really to me it looks like he developed early. I really think several players in his respective classes will have longer more efficient careers. He is striking while the iron is still hot. Good Luck to him and his family!

Surely reclassifying this late for '21 severely limits his options. Who has an open roster spot at this late date? Can a school now pay him"100K" in "NIL" to be a "walk-on"?

I hope he does to State. That sideshow would be hilarious to watch.

A kid who only shoots 30x times a game who doesn’t pass, rebound, play tough defense, or has played in actual system(trust me Lincoln’s coach is a clown) going to a college coach who demands all that. Sign me up for that reality show
