Early Games Open Thread

This is a safe haven where you can cast appropriate aspersions at Michigan State.

Or analyze the IU-Wisconsin game for scouting tidbits.

Or tell us what you're drinking after the early morning drinking thread.

If we finish in a 3-way tie with OSU and MSU we win that because it goes to overall record

need OSU to lose to Iowa and win the rest of their games til we play them

need MSU to beat PSU, lose to OSU, then do whatever the other games

need PSU to lose to MSU and lose one other game

and we win out

then we win the division

not likely, but it tells you what to root for

MSU is slicing PSU's secondary with that 10 yard post route from the slot WR. Must have seen something on film since they've exploited that all game.

Both psu and msu are susceptible to big pass plays. Even average QBs can expose this. Msu is literally running the same route against the safeties over and over. Unbelievable how flawed these secondaries are but it does take a QB to expose it.

Wisconsin looks.... very beatable. Granted we struggled with IU, but that looks like a game we could win and boost Peters confidence going into OSU.

Do I totally agree.   I am watching that game and they do not impress me AT ALL.   They really have not played anyone very good either in their schedule.  It's jumping ahead a bit but I say we beat the daylights out of them.

I am watching them and thinking ... how are they undefeated?

But then I looked at their schedule ....

Utah St / BYU / Florida Atlantic / Prudue / Illinois / ETC .... not very impressive schedule.

I bet Iowa beats them next week and we beat them the following.

They really haven't played anybody at all. I however do hope they win next week, hell I hope they win today. If Michigan goes to Madison and hands them their first loss of the season, it would be huge for us going into Ohio State week. Yes they're undefeated, but they don't look good to me. They've also been in alot of dog fights this season.
