He got a 3rd sack. Unstoppable. Game MVP.
LFG!!!!!
January 2nd, 2022 at 5:32 PM ^
Biggest thing will be finding a position for him and then him maintaining his ability as his body is molded to fit that position.
January 2nd, 2022 at 5:40 PM ^
There's been discussion of where he will end up on the DL and after initially viewing his film, I said putting him inside would be wasting his talent and I still stand by that assertion. Dude needs be on the edge. His combination of speed and power is best used on the outside imo
January 2nd, 2022 at 6:01 PM ^
It seems that the type of DL that MacDonald prefers would suit him. Move him inside on passing downs, outside on standard downs, etc. Put him next to some space eaters in the middle and let him work on single blocking. I wouldn't get too worked up about it. Guys like Wormley, Woodley, Steele, Gary, Pate, etc have been able to set an edge and get pressure being .ore SDE than WDE

True dat. It’s no secret young McDonald prefers big, strong and fast defensive players. He must have loved what he saw from Georgia.
January 2nd, 2022 at 10:22 PM ^
Don't all defensive coordinators love big, strong, fast defensive players?

Did you not watch the last couple years of Don Brown's 'Build a DT' program in action?
January 2nd, 2022 at 6:12 PM ^
He looks like a dude already.
i think we will have nice little run coming up with the depth we are building. God willing ???
January 2nd, 2022 at 6:38 PM ^
Didn't get a chance to watch the game, how did Will Johnson, Keon Sabb, and Amorion Walker do?
January 2nd, 2022 at 6:48 PM ^
Will Johnson - dominant
Keon Sabb - they played him at CB and he got beat a few times but he is an S/LB at Michigan
Amorion Walker - freak athlete with terrible hands. I prefer him as a big S like Hawkins but we'll see

Moore looks like a future star.
How the hell is Texas A&M getting so many elite commits all of a sudden? They have the top DT, drop back QB, TE, plus a bunch of others. Something stinks.
January 2nd, 2022 at 6:56 PM ^
Texas A&M? A program with no historical or recent success? Getting arguably the highest ranked class ever? And you’re suspicious something might be going on? Nah, man, it’s totally legit….

In the modern era, it’s all NIL and NFL. Nothing else matters.
January 2nd, 2022 at 7:25 PM ^
To be fair, their coach (Jimbo Fisher) does have a history of success, including a national title. And they are in one of the most the talent-rich states in the country, at a time when UT is down.
January 2nd, 2022 at 8:54 PM ^
Oh, the Jimbo who won a NC in 2013? Yes, when these HS seniors were 10 yrs old.
He has done a lot sense … 13-1, 10-3, 10-3 and 5-6 at FSU. Maybe he is touting his TAMU track record of 9-4, 8-5, 9-1 and 8-4. Great job never hitting 10 wins in over 5 yrs.
All of that justifies a good class and the Texas location even points to a top 10 class. Nothing in that history supports the best class of all time.
Maybe another lever caused this unique situation …
January 2nd, 2022 at 8:05 PM ^
Jimbo has a national title at FSU, they beat Bama this year and have had top classes the last couple of years. That said, doesn’t make sense to me either.
January 2nd, 2022 at 8:22 PM ^
Lol. He told Finebaum that, quote, “there’s always been NIL stuff going on, it just wasn’t legal.’”
January 6th, 2022 at 11:39 AM ^
It’s crazy to think that there are only 3 active head coaches with a National Title…Dabo, Jimbo Fisher and Saban.
January 2nd, 2022 at 7:09 PM ^
NIL was designed allow players to get compensated on their names... as a result, it also allowed schools the ability to recruit at the level of Alabama/Georgia and OSU
Texas A&M were able to do that this year. I credit them for using the rules to their advantage.
Michigan should be looking at what they did with NIL and stealing what would work at Michigan frankly (ie anything that is allowed by the rules and acceptable to the university's policies and standards)
January 2nd, 2022 at 10:51 PM ^
GNIL literally makes it the Wild West. The NCAA doesn’t want to try a case. I would be stomping all over the grey area of what the rules are.
It’s like driving 80 in a 75. Everyone else is…go 80 or you will get run over.
January 3rd, 2022 at 12:24 AM ^
TAMU fans on Reddit are saying that the combination of oil money, coaches leaving at OU and LSU, Texas being down, and Jimbo being a good recruiter have made it possible to do this. I’m guessing it’s mostly the oil money from the TAMU cult boosters though

Derrick Moore honoring his teammate, Aaron Wilson.
He'll fit right in.
January 2nd, 2022 at 8:58 PM ^
Great tribute! I have to ask though, is Moore 18 or 32 years old? I can’t tell from his picture
January 2nd, 2022 at 8:20 PM ^
Sounds like Derrick Moore might've learned something from another young football player from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore who also played in the Under Armour All America Game, Blake Corum.
January 2nd, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
I remember Rashan Gary dominating at the UA game. He just got sack #9.5 in NFL. #Problue is a beautiful thing. (Tom Brady threw for 400+ yards in his 12th victory, Kwity Paye sacked another fool, etc)
January 3rd, 2022 at 3:18 AM ^
Jon Runyan Jr was plowing through the Vikings' D Line as well.
January 3rd, 2022 at 9:21 AM ^
Runyan working himself into being an above average pro lineman is one of the more impressive things I’ve seen as a M fan
January 2nd, 2022 at 10:44 PM ^
Great stuff. Very glad he is coming to Michigan.
January 3rd, 2022 at 11:20 AM ^
This dude is playing next year…at least some. Just watching him, he looks like a kid that will develop and mature very quickly.
all across CFB there are freshman kicking ass and I think this kid has a shot to do that.
January 3rd, 2022 at 11:05 PM ^
What position did they have him playing?
