4.47 unofficial 1st run

4.46 unofficial 2nd run

Great times for him. Everybody has performed well this year minus Gentry.

Corner is one of the deeper spots on current roster.

Eh, idk about that, it will depend on what roster moves the Pats make. J-Mac, Rowe, and Jonathon Jones are all free agents. If they let two of those three walk, they'll need to add someone. They have Duke Dawson waiting, but he's an unknown right now. I could also see someone getting moved to Safety, with D-Mac and Chung aging, which would also create a need at corner.

Believe JMac will be back.  Jackson showed promise and expect them to retain at least 1 of Rowe or Jones.  One of the better position groups they've drafted and developed, especially with FA's.  If only they could do that with WR's!  Could see them targeting depth at safety before addressing CB's.  Dawson and FA they signed mid year, used to play at UConn might be in the mix.  Was excited about Dawson, think once he got hurt, decided to "red-shirt".

He's listed at 227.  That can't be right can it?  If so, he really bulked up.  It ain't flab if he still ran sub 4.5

Long is a guy that's so good that nobody threw at him, so he didn't have a lot of opportunity to jack up his stats. He should be a really good NFL player!

I think that was a reference to the MSU corner who said during an interview that all of the receivers he covered in the B1G are average receivers, thus undermining his efforts to enhance his draft position.  It was a very Sparty thing to do; make yourself worse off just so that you can take someone else down a peg.  The Little Bro is strong with that one.

That's faster than I thought he'd run. He was the best athlete of the 3 CBs last year and looked the fastest, but I didn't expect mid 4.4s. Thought he'd be closer to Lewis who was in the 4.5.

If you wanted to get into it the wasted talent in the secondary this year was ambry Thomas. He’s the guy on the bench that had the athleticism to match up with the osu inside guys when it was clear after the first drive that Watson couldn’t.

Deion Sanders was very complimentary of Long after the first drill. Said he was the only guy who did it correctly. Made sure to go speak to him after the drill as well.

My greedy wish...again...is for these guys to get drafted by the Lions.  I'll get the chance of cheering for these guys for a few more years before they bolt and get a guaranteed SB ring.

Jamel Dean is an unbelievable story. Runs the fastest time at any position with a 4.30. Urban Meyer tried to end his career before it even began by trying to force him to take a medical hardship as an early enrollee because he didn't have enough scholarships for his incoming class. He dropped out of OSU and enrolled at Auburn and will now be a millionaire no thanks to Urban Meyer.

Great times.  I'm sort of bummed we don't get another year from him; he felt like the best corner this year rather handily.

Michigan really showing up well in this combine.

Over the past two years, Long was pretty much invisible and got almost zero fan hype, but I don't mean that as a negative.  Long was a player who, when you listed our stars, you never thought of and there was almost no discussion of him.

The reason was that he was so damn good at his job that you forgot that he was out there.  He just blanketed his man or covered his zone, the ball was rarely thrown in his direction and so he was almost never on screen.  He didn't have a ton of interceptions or even tackles because, again, the ball was rarely thrown his way because he was so damn good.  To me, that's the mark of a great corner.

I suspect that of all of the players coming out this year, Long may end up being the most productive in the NFL (although Bush and Chase will likely give him a run for his money).

Had a 6.45 second 3-cone drill which is the best at the combine since at least 2006 per the Twitters. Next best for this year was 6.70.

Also Bush joined Derwin James as the only defensive players in the last 6 years to post sub-4.5 40, a 40 inch vert and 20+ bench reps.
