Darnay Holmes' ballz shifting to OSU
Multiple crystal ballz in the past day, including Wiltfong, have Darnay Holmes going to OSU.
It is sickening that the referees' impact on the outcome of The Game has repercussions long beyond just this season. I doubt OSU would have the momentum it does with all of these out-of-state 5-stars if it was UM in the CFP and OSU in the Orange Bowl.

You're right. With Long, Hill, Thomas, and St-Juste, we'll be just fine.
December 13th, 2016 at 2:43 PM ^
OSU wasn't going to be in the playoffs, or the B1G CG, if UM won that game. They would have been in Michigan's position - just outside, looking in, and sadly thinking about what could have been.
Mistakes notwithstanding, that officiating crew fucked us over good...
EDIT: Well crap. This was suppsoed to be a reply to East Coast above, saying the Game didn't matter because OSU would have been in the playoff anyway.

Not to mention that outside of the missed FG in the first quarter, OSU wasn't even close to scoring another point without the help of Michigan's mistakes.

This settles it. He's going to OSU. That looks like the exact technique Holmes was using on Black at the Army practices. They've obviously already been coaching him up

Yeah, but you could imagine what it would be like, though. So awesome.

any recruit that was down to Michigan and OSU watched The Game and is able to make their own judgement on where they want to play college ball. These kids are allowed to think for themselves right? It's bad enough we are still talking about the refs, even worse that the OP is now blaming them for OSU having recruiting success. Breaking news, OSU has a very good football program, and top tier recruits will play for them. Negged for being a cry baby.

That was Holmes' 4th visit to OSU. It's obvious he's had serious interest in them for a long time. We were probably out already.

on OSU, but can we stop pretending like they aren't good? I hate losing recruiting battles to OSU just as much as the next MGOBlogger, but please, let's stop the whole "nobody should want to play football there" mentality.

They do suck.
December 13th, 2016 at 2:54 PM ^
Lots of getting worked up about not much going on here.
The OP was hoping that the Game's poor officiating didn't provide the final impetus for guys like DPJ or Holmes to sign with OSU. Which is a bit of a stretch in itself, but baseless speculation should be allowed in this space on occasion. We'll live. You'll see.
December 13th, 2016 at 2:55 PM ^
In fairness, there really is no objective reason why an elite QB or RB with NFL aspirations should want to play at OSU.
December 13th, 2016 at 2:56 PM ^
Zeke Elliot just called to say 'hi.'
December 13th, 2016 at 2:59 PM ^
beat me to it, well played sir, you earned it!
December 13th, 2016 at 3:03 PM ^
That was supposed to say WRs, but you seized the window of opportunity before I could correct it. Obviously, OSU is a premier destination for RBs.
December 13th, 2016 at 3:06 PM ^
You mean the multiple wr's getting picked in recent drafts including one of the top rookies in the league this year doesn't count either?
December 13th, 2016 at 3:13 PM ^
To be fair, OSU also has former QB's receiving paychecks for playing football as WR's. Unfortunately.

Thomas probably got most of his development/coaching from Keyshawn IMO

Here is a list of WRs Urban Meyer recruited from 2005-2014. Read this and tell me he develops WRs.
Riley Cooper, Justin Williams, Jarred Fayson, Jamar Hornsby, Percy Harvin, Deonte Thompson, Paul Wilson, Carl Moore, T.J Lawrence, Omarius Hines, Frankie Hammon Jr., Andre Debose, Stephen Alli, Chris Dunkley, Adrian Coxson, Soloman Patton, Quinton Dunbar, Robert Clark, Ja’Juan Story, Javares McRoy, Jalin Marshall, James Clark, Corey Smith, Johnnie Dixon, Paris Campbell, Noah Brown, Terry McLaurin.
How many successful NFL WRs do you see there?
December 13th, 2016 at 3:45 PM ^
He puts as many TE in prison as he does WR in the NFL
December 13th, 2016 at 3:46 PM ^
so you will have to tell me which way I should believe.

QB no way. But RB I can see why. Carlos Hyde and Ezekiel Elliot are doing pretty good in the league.
December 13th, 2016 at 3:02 PM ^
Ezekiel Ellliott would laugh at that preposterous notion.
December 13th, 2016 at 3:43 PM ^
December 13th, 2016 at 3:47 PM ^
Well, before Elliott, OSU backs were not products of Meyer.
December 13th, 2016 at 4:16 PM ^
wasn't exactly known for producing great running backs at his previous stops before OSU.
December 13th, 2016 at 4:16 PM ^
Meyer is a top coach, but Elliott did not need Meyer to become what he became. He would have done it at a dozen different schools.
You don't coach talent like that, you recruit talent like that.
December 13th, 2016 at 4:46 PM ^
I agree with this take, but I feel like the same could be said about Andrew Luck.
December 13th, 2016 at 5:27 PM ^
Without Harbaugh as his coach amazing. For every one you name I will name 3. Try me?
December 13th, 2016 at 7:04 PM ^
Why don't you start with one first.

'Zeke didn't start as a freshman either.

"The problem with Scotland is it's full of Scots"
The problem with Columbus is it's full of Ohioans. Other than that I have to say that on my two trips there I actually found the city to be quite nice. Pretty much every school/city has something to offer and everyones tastes are different. It really isn't that hard to understand why some kids choose other schools.
