Dante Moore Commits to Oregon
Happy Trails to our only QB target. Back to the drawing board for Weiss and Harbaugh.

Good luck with that...
Navy1972, by your post history, I think you have a hard time accepting it isn’t 1972. The past is long gone. You don’t have to like the present state of college football, but acting like we should continue to be the Michigan “of old” is the mindset that has just about torpedoed our program since Carr retired.
I have as much to do with today's college football landscape as you do. How I feel is irrelevant. Harbaugh is calling the shots. Neither me nor you. If Dante Moore wants the guaranteed NIL money, good for him. He's not a good fit at UM. And Navy1972 was the first game I saw at Michigan Stadium. I'm old, but not THAT old!
14-0. Dennis Franklin! My Dad - a WWII vet- wanted me and my brothers to see the Middies walking around Ann Arbor in their Dress Blues. Good times 😊
Kinda wish Harbaugh had just left for the NFL, or wherever. The NFL talk had about died, now we get 5 more years of “Oakland is in Play.”
2 5* level QBs in state in back to back recruiting classes. The last composite 5* which DM is to come out of the state is retroactively Drew Henson.
Weiss has gotta pick it up.
Don't know what Weiss can do if someone wants money and we are not ready to offer until you sign up.
So Weiss should outbid Phil Knight? What an ignorant comment. Harbaugh doesn't want big money recruits. Live with it and look forward to this season...or be miserable. Your choice...
To Qmatics defense, multiple people posted on other threads that Dante didn’t choose UM because of Matt Weiss. Though, I don’t believe that’s the entirety, I’m sure getting paid a few million helps as well.
Because Kenny Dillingham is going to turn Dante into a star QB? How good was FSU’s QBs last year? What pedigree made Moore choose Lanning and Dillingham over Harbaugh and Weiss-Moore?
Money. And likely other guarantees that will fizzle once they actually get in the practice field.
If Harbaugh truly doesn't want "big money recruits" and it's not just the University of Shoot Yourself in the Foot doing what it does, then he should be fired. Yeah, let's get fired up for the season where the absolute best-case scenario is getting embarrassed in the playoff again. Woohoo! Catch the fever!
Mercy.
Fire Harbaugh? Fire him because he and the school won't P2P high schoolers. And then hire Jimbo, right? Or maybe we can get Saban? Yeah ... that's the ticket.
If your standard is guaranteed playoff appearance PLUS guaranteed no embarrassment, your choices are Alabama, maybe Georgia (checks notes), and that's it.
It's his program, not yours. Nobody is going to tell him how to run it
Ok I’ll bite, if they knew what kind of money he was looking for and Harbaugh doesn’t”want big money recruits” why didn’t they offer and recruit another QB this cycle? I mean it’s a pretty important position.
im hoping this class ends up like 2018. But I don’t see a class leader like Hutchinson in it yet.
Ask Coach Harbaugh
If Harbaugh doesn't want "big money recruits," then bring in someone who does because that's where this is all headed whether either of you like it or not.
Then share your concerns with Warde Manuel...his boss
1 wanted the bag and the other wanted to get away from Michigan. It sucks, but that's how recruiting goes sometimes. Hopefully we can reel in Jadyn Davis
Do we have any evidence that Davis will NOT be interested in a large bag of money? He will surely get such offers.
Do I have any evidence that Davis will NOT be interested in a large bag of money? No, but we do have evidence that Davis is heavily interested in Michigan and that we have the crystal ball / future cast lead even with those large bags of money certainly being offered to him
This feels a lot like the Rocco Spindler/Garrett Dellinger fiasco.
I hate the whole money thing in college sports, but I hate losing a lot more. OSU had 7 five stars in 2021.... SEVEN!
OSU had 7 five stars in 2021.... SEVEN!
And a $13 million salary floor.
Yeah, so when OSU beats Harbaugh's 3-star mafia by 50, you can brag about how Michigan got their heads kicked in the right way.
Looking at your posting history you were real loud back in November about us not beating anyone (Wisconsin, Penn St, and Indiana were much worse than expected.). You then suspiciously did not post again until after we lost to Georgia.
Find some joy in something my friend.
Qmatic is correct. You were conspicuous in your lack of comments after The Game. You're a troll. Get the fuck outta here!
Awwww how sad 3* mafia just won last year 42-27!!! Cry me a River!!!
Personally, I think the goal should be to beat them more than once a decade.
We are undefeated vs them in the 2020’s…
And we did that without 2* Ronnie Bell!
Why do you blame Weiss? Is he supposed to exceed Knight's offer out of his own pocket? Harbaugh is not signing a recruit with an NIL deal
Which is it? Weiss has to pick it up? Or we need to fire the money cannon at high school seniors-to-be? Or Gattis sucks / if only we still had Gattis on staff we'd have a 5 Star QB commit?
You spelled Harbaugh wrong. Fixed it for ya
We should have invited Oregon to the Big 10 yesterday so we could kick them out today
As expected, still doesn't feel good. Oh well! Move on. Hope Harbaugh finds someone else.
To employ him? I agree.
I have a feeling UM admin is not going to let any coach pay before they sign up. Now, would another coach facilitate after they commit or sign? I dunno if admin will restrict that. Not sure. But it seems Harbaugh is against facilitation before signing. I will leave it at that.
Harbaugh doesn't want bonus babies on his team. He's worried about team unity/chemistry. If they prove themselves at UM he advocates for them making NIL money
You mean the Jim Harbaugh whose team just beat OSU and won the BIG championship? And donated his roughly $2,000,000 in bonus money to employees of the UM AD? Is that who you're referring to?
Damn, and I was wasting time reading the earlier post about how realignment had spooked him.
Don’t worry the people that run Michigan athletics are able to feel slightly superior over Oregon, so it’s worth it
Feeling superior? Why do people keep saying that this is about feeling superior. He just doesn't want to pay before you sign up or at least not facilitate that. I don't know if that is about feeling superior.
This is how college recruiting works now, Michigan is making up its own rules to play by because they don’t like it
No. Harbaugh isn't allowing commits to arrive on campus with big, or mega-big deals. Big difference. In other words, Harbaugh isn't playing by A&M's rules
"isn't allowing"? Is that confirmed or are you speculating?
We'll see how that works out for him and the football program.
Because Harbaugh doesn't want bonus babies on his team. How many P5 teams have you coached?
Check his posting record. You'll get his replies.
If it’s not about feeling morally superior then it’s just anti player.
It's about anti-fucking up the team chemistry. Harbaugh has more experience in that regard than any of us. Trust that
