Yup, we're talking about entertainment.  I'd love to get all the best prospects, but what fun would that be?  Better to try having faith in a leader (Harbaugh) and hope that works out.  If not, maybe I'll go back to following the Red Wings.

Meh.  People missing the obvious.  Losing out on top 2023 QBs in our backyard ain’t hurting us till Cade and JJ are gone. UM coming off great year.  Should have another one this year.  If they miss out on the 2024 kid, and JJ bolts with Cade, then we have problems.  By then Harbaugh may be gone for all we know.

For those hand wringers out there. Relax - Michigan will have a guy taking snaps and he’ll probably be pretty good too. Recruiting isn’t meant for some people.

It's certainly disconcerting to miss out on both 5* QB's from in state. Plenty of blame can be laid and at the end of the day it may just be the kids wanted to be somewhere else. That's not the main issue to me. The issue is why no QB's outside those two being recruited? There are way more than 2 QB's in the class. Sure, there may or may not be a need for a starter for this class but I am certain that there is need for a backup or two.

The other concern is the quality of recruiting. There has been lots of discussion about 5* players that never reached their potential at UM. There could be along discussion as the why's there, but the fact is this program's success is dependent not on 5* players but more on 4* players and developing 3* players into starters. But if there aren't enough top tier talent it'll show if too many 3* players are playing too early. Not all of them will develop and some of them take 3-4 years to get there. You need those 4* and 5* players that are ready to go fairly quickly, so its good to see UM pick up a few this week, but without a solid core of them it will be difficult to compete with the 5* programs such as OSU. I wish UM could get more 5* players and roll the dice with them living up to potential, these are the players that national programs are built on, to say otherwise is denying the facts of the rosters that win national championships. Either we are a blue blood program that recruits and plays at a high level, or we become a mid-level team in the best conference that occasionally wins the conference once a decade or more.
