Even better was the decision not to intervene with a TO on the last possession.
Knight taught that, always said that the guys that are backpedaling are the ones at a disadvantage.
That shot was absolutely pure. As soon as it left his hand there wasn’t much doubt that it was going in. It was that good.
Great final four game. Not always great execution but hard fought and exciting.

Well, everyone said this was the least interesting Final Four ever, but that was a hell of a game. I don’t care who’s playing, I just want a competitive hard fought close game, and that’s what we got.

Lots of talent in these 5th year men in the Final 4. Juwan has to master the transfer portal to get upper class guys to lead the team. They will beat the 19 year old one-and-done boys all day.
UConn looks like the best Final Four team by far and they wouldn't sniff this thing in a regular year. Oops...that was criticism--sorry, please forgive me!!
I think that's a weak take. UCONN is blowing the doors off everyone they play. I see a pretty damn good basketball team who is well coached.

Just finished first game. Congratulations to SDSU, Coach Dutcher, Coach Fisher and players. They never gave up, missed a lot of free throws and prevailed with poise and heart.
Watching this game honestly makes me depressed Jlew is coming back. You have to have guards who can hit tough shots and he can’t shoot when he is wide open. I would much rather they bring in a transfer.

I understand that, I am saying he was not a hit and I would rather take a shot on another transfer.
Watching these games it’s clear we don’t have the athleticism to compete at this level. The only guy on our team who can hang at this level is TWill.

Traveling just isn’t called anymore. It is getting as bad as the NBA.
Same with carrying. Guys hands scoop completely under the ball and roll over the top on every single possession. It is particularly egregious when a player is lackadaisically bring the ball up, it seems exaggerated and is in slow motion.
UConn has transfers contributing from VCU, Va Tech, and San Diego (not THAT San Diego). Which is to say you can find contributors from anywhere, you just need to have an idea of player profiles that you’re looking for. I’m not sure Juwan does? What’s his philosophy?

i dunno or care much about this game but the ladies from LSU doing some fine SEC trash talking. Go Iowa...that appears to be the next game that matters. The big 1(4)0 needs to cut down some nets.
I’m usually not an Iowa fan. I do root for the children at their hospital and think their gesture during home games is fantastic.
Based on what I have read about LSU - it’s very easy to cheer for the Hawkeyes women’s hoops team.
Research department letting Nantz down there. UCLA won seven straight tournaments--I don't even have to look it up to know they won more than 11 straight in the sweet 16+.
You would think a college commentator would be familiar with the history of the game - especially Wooden and UCLA. This isn’t an obscure trivia reference.
He is--he was a kid in Houston then, watching Elvin Hayes, and I have no doubt that he knows UCLA won every year he was in grade school. But he's got a producer in his ear telling him what to say.
I'm guessing a "since the field went to 64/68" proviso got lost.
