Crystal balls coming in for 2024 3* CBs Jeremiah Lowe and Jo'Ziah Edmond
Edmond is a recent Purdue decommit and both players are in that low 3* ("sleeper" if you will) category
I've been wondering which 2024 low-ish rated star corners would be coming to Mich Football to get developed into NFL draft picks.
Good for these two when they pick Blue!
I'm guessing Edmond will play DB rather than WR but I could be wrong.
Edit: 247 seems to be updating right now from WR to CB so that seems like confirmation.
Didn't think there was a chance with West, but hoped they could land Clark...too bad
Needed to get some DBs into the class, so this is good.
Like anything, we'll have to wait and see.
Just as I predicted - can’t get the top targets so let’s offer some three stars never on the radar and act like it’s exciting.
The bar has been lowered since all the hype about West Glenn Nichols and the slew of others ended up being that just - hype.
What a pitiful position to be in after making the CFP the last 2 seasons. Inferior teams have multiple CB commits in the Top 300. We can’t get 1. Someone should be held accountable and I’m not talking Mr. NIL.
That excuse doesn’t satisfy all this failure.
Yes. This is terrible. If only we had a 5* corner to start for us for the next two years, an established experienced starter at a lower level for this year, a freak athlete with 3 years of eligibility to grow into a corner this year, two true freshman corners the coaches like plus a highly rated corner in '25 already committed.
We are clearly doomed at our worst position. Our db's will be bad. Oh no, oh no, oh no.
Hey.
Just wanted to let you know.
You suck.
So glad to have you back, Maizen. Tell us some more fake stories about how you “called it like it is” in the 70’s and 80’s and hope nobody does the math to mean this is a supposedly a 60-70 year old that is a die hard UM football recruitnik.
I’m not crazy about the tape with either but they definitely are Harbaugh recruits. Seems like both play about 5 positions, love their special teams work, and are all-around athletes. Good depth pieces sure, just gotta trust the coaching staff to get the most out of their development.
Considering there will be 2 teams that can throw the ball, OSU and now USC in the B1G - and we essentially limited OSU from lighting up the scoreboard the past 2 years with lower profile CB's, I have faith we will be fine.
Given what Clink has done with Sainristil and Rod Moore in the secondary, and the fact we have W. Johnson for the next two seasons, I'm quite confident UM will find the personelle an be just fine.
Is it ideal? no. Would we love some more 4 and 5 stars at the position so we are better equipped for deep playoff runs, of course. But given the ball control offense, strong O and D-lines and clever defensive scheme - the team should be well positioned.
And what is OSU or UGA going to do with their 4-5* corners. A bunch will transfer after taking the bag and getting passed over. It is what it is until our NIL gets better, but ultimately you can only have 11 guys on the field at the same time, and the only position groups where in game rotation really matters is RB (you should have at least 2) and DL (you'd like to have 6-8) that can play at a high level.
Pray that Will Johnson stays healthy and we'll be good.
Clearly you're,"not" a Michigan Realist!
I trust the staff to identify and coach up talent. Go get 'em!
Hopefully they both have speed. If they’re fast, I think coaching can bring them closer to a good ceiling.
Good to have depth and I hope they turn into stars. This year we really could have used another top guy, but I don’t think the CB issues will be an immediate problem. Two years from now it might be. Hoping that big 2022 class pans out, but seems like a lot of safeties there. Hill will be good and hopefully Walker works out.
hopefully class of 2025 sees a couple 4*s at a minimum.
Gotta keep Ewald in the fold.
Separate from these two, Nigel Glover is getting crystal balls to Ohio St. He’s the linebacker that decommitted from NW and visited for the BBQ at the Bighouse. He is from Ohio but I hadn’t seen where he visited them yet.
Ohio State also lost out on 5* Dylan Stewart, who they thought they were going to get. He committed to South Carolina.
I was assured that Michigan was the only program to miss out on valued recruits they thought they would get. Are you telling me other teams are also victimized by the reality of limited resources?
Gatlin Bair trending away 😩😫
