Could we be Gonzaga's ONLY loss on the year???

Obviously in a best case scenario we hand them another loss, but it's looking very real they could run the rest of the regular season table

Perhaps a bit more explanation is in order?  Why do you think Gonzaga may not lose again this year?  What about them seems so good?  What about their future opponents seem so good?  I follow basketball and pay attention to who's winning.  But I do not look at other teams schedules more than a publicized game might allow - and I suspect most MGoPeople on this board don't pay a lot of attention to Gonzaga's season schedule, either.  (This is why you're getting the early neg bomb, BTW...)

Could you elaborate on why you think they may only have one loss on the season?

easy to elaborate:  gonzaga plays in an incredibly weak league.  while there is a chance they might lose to one of those patsies, it is unlikely.  none of the league is ranked and i think only santa clara has given the zags a run for their money in the last few years.

to answer the question:  not only is the answer 'yes', but also it would be surprising if they did lose during the regular season.

Well, according to the experts, the 2 most likely scenarios are this:

1. If Gonzaga wins every game from here on out and finishes the season as NCAA champs with only one loss then, by virtue of the only their only loss being to Michigan, their only loss of the season will have been to Michigan.

2. If Gonzaga loses one or more games from here on out then, by virtue of having more than one loss, they will no longer have a single loss. So Michigan will not be able to claim the honor of Gonzaga’s only loss of their season.

However, if Gonzaga loses only one more game and it’s to Michigan in the NCAA tournament, then Michigan will be able to still be the only team to have beaten Gonzaga this season. Although it will now be two losses for Gonzaga instead of just one. So Michigan will not be able to claim to have handed them their only loss.

That’s the way the experts see it, anyway.
