Columbus is the Worst Place Ever...
I have to be in Columbus, Oh to visit my wife’s family, but as soon as Friday rolls around I am out of here. This place is one of the Worst places in the world to live because of Ohio State University and what it has done to the psych of the people here. The freaking city buses say “Beat Xichigan” because they either can’t spell simple words properly or because they refuse to say the name of Michigan because of some stupid tradition. Their coaches won’t say “Michigan.” They will mark “X” on the “M” around town. They will teach there children to call horrible diseases or conditions like cancer “Michigan”. They will have a “Give Your Blue” homeless clothes drive where people will actually buy Michigan clothing and give it to the people sleeping on the streets of downtown Columbus. They will laugh in their hearts knowing that the only reason they gave those clothes was because of the idea of a homeless man being the only “Michigan fan” is some how funny to these sad and sadistic people. They are so proud, so arrogant, that their stench can be smelled well past Frank Rd and I-71... this place is the worst and I pray to God that this team will be humbled, because of these people....

Hey, I feel ya man. I just drove down High St. (the street OSU campus is predominantly on) and there so-called “Xichgan” is half-assed. Half of there signs still had M’s showing and others were crossed out. I even drove past some OSU owned buildings that had M’s still up. That’s typical OSU fans. Half-ass ignorant folk.

Buckeye fan here. Born in Detroit, lived in Farmington Hills, raised mostly in Columbus.
I've been on both sides of this fence. The real difference is in how OSU views this game.
Ohio State fans, players, and coaches take this rivalry seriously. No t shirts, no gimmicks, no guarantees. There's more respect and focus placed on this rivalry from the Buckeyes. With each passing of the guard year in and year out, graduating players reenforce this sentiment to the new bucks.
That said, part of the reason why OSU fans love beating Michigan is because it puts this insufferable fanbase back to bed. Make no mistake. We don't respect you. You leave nothing to respect. Your arrogance is backed by grads who woke up on third thinking they hit a triple flocking to Chicago on dad's credit card. all in a race towards their very own McMasion in the suburbs.
we do, however, respect your team. And that'll never change.

Speaks volumes about Americans in general... NOW DOESN'T IT!
The fact that we can argue about these first world problems on computers, where we don't have to worry about the government shutting down our connection to the world... should also tell you something.

I know all to well our teams record with the jerks to the south. But this time of the year a realization strikes me. These nut cakes can't go out of their way to remove M's and sing their songs about hating the "whole state of Michigan" without us living rent free in their twisted heads! It gives me delight to think, if they hate us so miserably when they win, just think how suicidal hundreds of thousands will feel at 4 pm this Saturday when the pendulum of fate swings back our way. Go Blue!

Columbus is really trying to improve. My SIL lives there and going thru I saw that double-knot shithole has upgraded to just a shithole. Praying my car wouldn't fail me as I drove thru the area. Yes, the people have ingrained into their culture that beating Michigan is their life. Really quite sad and because they aspire to be us, they can't move forward in life always chasing an unattainable dream. They need to get their own lives and quit trying to copy ours.
