Coach Drevno on the Sideline

Submitted by anniemoose98 on
I thought that I saw Coach Drevno back on the sideline versus up in the box today. Can anyone confirm? If he is, that's incredibly interesting to see. It seemed as if all facets of the offensive looked more together (especially play calling and lack of penalties) with him back next to Harbaugh on the sideline.

I have been saying for weeks that this young offense was close to turning the corner, but kept stopping themselves. Blaming O'Korn for everything did not seem far because the blocking, route running and catching was off. When peters entered and the crowd got fully behind the team for what seemed like the first time all year, the non QB part of the equation seemed to clear up. And Peters went through progression and hit guys without hesitation. Basically, to me it seemed like the offense really click for the first time since the second half of the Purdue game. Hopefully this is the young offense finally gelling.

my crowd is always fully behind the team all year, every year. The rest of the crowd? IMHO it's been a lively supportive crowd all season long. While keeping in mind that it's generally always louder when we're on defense, the Michigan D fed the crowd noise even further with its' early-season dominance. And the night game crowd for the staee game, until the rain soaked us all? About as loud as it gets.

I did not but someone mentioned it in the game thread. I wanted to see the replay on that to see what it was. They called it 12 men in the formation, which makes no sense and they were showing a replay till just before the snap.

I have not noticed JH reading his playbook sheet in the past few games. This is the first game I saw it from TV he read it and Drevno was next to him. Before Peters is in, he didn't call play. Once peter is in, he pop out his playbook sheet and i think the first few Peters' drives are his call. Not sure the subsequent drive in 2nd half.

Yes he was. I'm glad he was. He's the offensive line coach and he needs to coach them after drives. We all noticed how the line played their best game glad to see him down there. Made no sense to have 2 guys calling plays with the same POV. Point of having multiple play callers is to have different looks.

Drevno still hasn't proven he knows what he's doing no matter where he's sitting...But glad Peters finally got to play.  Leave him in the rest of the season please.
