CJ to Gary Jr is a done deal
Wish I had more news, or could have drilled down further. However, during our basketball run this morning all AK would say is he gone.
Sounds like 2 commits at a min on the horizon. (As early as this week, likely next week)
Another topic of discussion was Mark Stein report that JH was in fact the Lakers top choice. Ham Slamwich should send coach a gift basket.
The staff will try to hold off Georgia for RW. They feel strongly that if he makes it on campus next weekend we are still holding on. However he is in Athens all weekend and they have made him a $priority$
Shoelace working hard on 5* WR out of FLL, sounds like we are out in front.
The outside is worried about recruiting this year, but IMO it looks like Clink and SM are sifting through their offers like Bama does. No BS, I see 4-8 four and five stars that WANT to be part of the next class.
I don't believe MW is giving up anytime soon on DM, and they also like their chances with the 5* who was on campus last week.
Goodwin kid coming too
920 days and counting
Cheers
No.
You sir are just a clown!
My last post was telling you all both kids were going to the NBA, directly from the mouth of one of the team managers, well over a week ago.
Also by my account next weekend is officially up to 3 commits min.
Calm your dumb ass down and respect GAME.
BTW, things change.
Cheers
I’m just shocked that you say there are 3-5 Five Star kids that want to be a part of this class. Well…Cmon down Yo’s!!! Commit Sons and let’s get this party bus rolling!!!
Gotta respect anyone going all in on a projection less than a week away. Appreciate your posts.
I def don't see where he said midwest recruits. You're def wrong about Moore so you're being fed BS then too. Ghost is a longtime poster that's gotten a lot right over a long period of time.
He’s a sanitation engineer…or a janitor if you wanna be a sick about it.
As for being not being worried about recruiting, I'll believe it when I see it. When you can't even get Lloyd Carr's grandson to come here who lives about 20 minutes from campus, it's time to worry about your NIL program.
Touchdown Jesus to blame for that one pal.
Also, they might just lose 4 games this year, and have a tough time hanging onto their class
Cheers
Exactly. There will be two full football seasons before Carr can officially sign. The whole world will see if Freeman is a boom or bust by then.
IOW, it is waaaaay to early to panic about Carr.
He'll commit just to discourage other potential talent from going, then screw them at the last minute by signing with us.
I really only see 2 for sure, and maybe 3 if Lincoln Riley is as good as USC thinks he is, since its at the end of the season.
Is this in reference to the religious aspect of ND? Or just that their coaches did a tremendous job with the recruitment.
Notre Dame has a well-known, large mural of Jesus with his arms up that's visible from the football stadium, and thus known as "Touchdown Jesus".
The religious aspect - the Carr's are a good Catholic family. I'm sure young CJ has been indoctrinated into the ways of (TD) Jesus as much as he's been exposed to the glories of Michigan football.
FWIW, he's allowed to make his own choice. I'm sure his entire family has weighed with their thoughts, as well... Good luck to the kid - if he wants to play in a pint sized knock-off stadium in a dirty crime infested town for a bunch of hypocritical religious whack jobs, have at it.
ND opens at Ohio State, gets Clemson at home and plays what should be a revitalized USC program to close the season. The other games on their schedule are mostly cupcakes, but if they can’t win those games and or look highly competitive, that’s going to be tough on this class they are putting together. In 2023 they play those same three teams again, put this time in a span of five weeks.
Is UNC supposed to be any good? That game at chapel hill seems losable as well as BYU in Vegas.
from your lips to God's ears
I'm guessing no one knows this for sure, but is ND agreeing to not take a 2023 QB?
We can only hope.
You'd worry about the second coming of Jim Harbaugh!!! You don't have a clue. You should get a permanent tattoo of a Question mark in the middle of your forehead.
How are you, as a coaching staff, supposed to force a kid to stay home if he doesn't want to play college ball where he grew up? Please elaborate.
You don't think he couldn't easily get a massive NIL deal in AA from any one of multiple places because of the connection with his grandfather?
You guys have no idea what is going through CJs mind but sure as hell like to make up stories to make the dots connect in your mind.
I am officially embarrassed and horrified by my ridiculous post. I already apologized on the other thread.
Now redacted...
Maybe he just feels really connected to ND and enjoys the coaches. There was not as much of a turnover as people are letting on. Pretty much just Kelly our Dline coach who left. Don't forget that most programs have the most recruiting juice when they swap over head coaches. Look at that first class Harbaugh hauled in after he came to Michigan.
So why does Justin Boren get "traitor" status? He is from Columbus and left just as Michigan was collapsing on itself. It was a smart decision that he made and he probably felt connected to the folks at OSU given his proximity to the program.
Because Boren was already on the team and left... and then made inflammatory comments when he got to OSU.
Carr is a recruit.
yeah, he came to AA but then Michigan did a 180 on the program after his first year. He could see what a disaster the new coaching staff was going to be and got the hell out of dodge.
The point is - nobody cares that he transferred out. They are pissed that he went to a rival.
Pretty sure it was the shit talking after he left and then his Halloween costume dressed as Rich Rod that pushed him into true villian status. Think everyone would have gotten over it if he just went, played and kept his trap shut.
You're glossing over a lot of context.
I am sure Carr knows as much about the Michigan program than Boren did, and albeit he is just a recruit he has more deep ties to Michigan.
Why would Justin Boren be considered a traitor?
Boren cut a deal with Lloyd to be able to go home often and work in family snowplow business... it was a concession Lloyd had to give him, because of all the shit his family takes back home for playing in AA, and is quite reasonable. RR came in and didn't honor that, so he bolted. That was the big nail in recruiting Ohio coffin, after the strong work by Tressel to lock us out. It was very unfortunate... then they funneled those guys to MSU for awhile. You can call him a traitor, but the fact is, RR caused it.
Didn't realize they got a lot of snow in Columbus.
Must not be any since the Buckeyes were so confused by snow showers last November
Must not be any since the Buckeyes were so confused by snow showers last November
Well not anymore they don't - global warming n all.
But Boron was like 15 years ago. Snowed like a sumbitch back then!
That's quite a list. Have citations for any of those?
uh, there have been many SE Mich kids go to rivals; even kids with ties to UM. there is disappointment. boren is a complete traitorous asshole; much like mattison.
so, justin boren is just fine, but a 10th grader is a 'contrarian douchebag.' got it.
look in the mirror, dickhead.
God, what a douchey comment about a 17-year-old's college choice, especially given you have no idea about the circumstances. Maybe Michigan has said he's not its top choice. Maybe he thinks Moore is going to AA. Maybe he's Catholic. Maybe he just likes Notre Dame.
What we do know is that you're a judgmental prick.
Picking Notre Dame - really? He must be some sort of contrarian douchebag.
You could have easily made your point without calling the kid a douchebag. Come on.
Picking Notre Dame - really? He must be some sort of contrarian douchebag. You have to be shitting me if he thinks there is something there he can't get anywhere else.
Dude get off the internet and get a grip. You have absolutely zero clue about anything in this kid's head. Whether you like it or not, Notre Dame has arguably been more successful than Michigan lately, it has a decent following in southern MI, and Freeman is a great recruiter plus he's got that new coach recruiting boost to go with it.
it's not hard to see why a 17 year old would pick ND and calling him names just makes you an asshole
Just a horrible take…grown men butt hurt bc a teenager didn’t pick “their” school and then disparage said teenager.
If you get that worked up when the kid has never publicly said anything negative about UM, it may be time to take a step back from following recruiting. Such a bad look.
QB development? They have a system that is very QB friendly. When said QBs get to the league they are proven to not be world beaters.
Because far too people think these kids are interchangeable cogs and completely disregard the needs, wants, and “fit” of the individual and program, respectively. I just do not understand that mindset at all…
This might be surprising, but some people find it fun and exciting to experience change.
I went to college far away from where my parents were. I regret it now because I missed out on so many things. When I was a teenager I did not. It is hard to judge what a teenager feels.
Why do some people think that if you're born into a certain college family that you are obligated to attend that same college? Sometimes kids what to get out and see the world. Make a name for themselves somewhere else
That's true, kids should get out and see the world. Which will absolutely not happen when he goes to...South Bend Indiana
South Bends greatest attraction is being an hour and a half away from Chicago
An even greater attraction is that it's a half hour away from St. Joseph and the beach. Half the plates on any given Saturday are from Indiana while the other half are from Illinois.
Plates ?
Automobile license plates.
