If that turns out to be true, Mike Locksley will jump to the top of my "favorite non-Michigan coaches" list.  His spat with Gattis notwithstanding, I liked that he had the dignity not to call timeouts to try to score a sad touchdown at the end of the game, but breaking the NCAA's omertà?  Priceless.

Trolling on your rival team's blog. Must be a slow night at the trailer park. No dog shit throwing fights followed by racing your 1987 Dodge Ram down trailer park alley with the neighbors tonight, I guess

Well since it happened last year under the watch of Urban Meyer how honest and forthcoming where are they they were honest once they got caught or at least sort of honest. A family friend who became a family friend just before he goes to Ohio State really honest and forthcoming. Herbie is a piece of s*** Buckeye anyways

well, how could the NCAA do anything BUT reduce the suspension?  I mean its not like the program or coaches have ever been linked to or involved in any suspicious or questionable activities.....

Wait, if this is Day's first year as head coach, how did he have three wins as a head coach before the season started????   Oh, nevermind.

If he was honest he would have reported when it happened, not when he got caught.

For comparison below are the related SEC violations with similar cash/loan/value payments. I'm using the SEC because the NCAA is more lenient on football cash cow schools like the SEC and OSU.

Gillard was permanently suspended from NCAA competitions for accepting $50 from coaches to buy clothes (1975)

Ambrose and Schimmel were given around $500 each from boosters for air transportation and both were suspended for the entire season plus (1986)

Five Alabama players accepted approximately $300 in disallowed benefits each through selling textbooks received by scholarship. They were each suspended for four games (largely because they did not know they weren't even supposed to do that). (2009)

Tunsil accepted free meals and lodging for his family trip and was given a 7 game suspension (2017)

That said it would be great if they changed the rules to let players be paid, but until they do they should enforce them the same for any program. Otherwise it just gives the top programs willing to not follow the rules an added advantage.

Surprised...

How is waiting until the shit stretch of the season to tell about something that happened last year being honest or forthright?

I used to think that the NCAA was incompetent. Now I see that they're complicit.

If you would use the internet to do something other than hate OSU, you would see that OSU found out about this AFTER the Wisconsin game.  But that doesn't fit what you want to believe so you will refuse to do that 30 seconds of work.

Shithead,

It says:

HIS honesty...

How the fuck is he being honest when he has known about this thing since it happened? I realize that you think shitting in a cooler is a valid life choice, but please try to at least think like a human. If that's too much to ask, then fuck off back to 11W.

It's in the mod thread now, so don't waste a moment of your day on the dumbass.  Olddude and the other idiot are not even halfway intelligent OSU trolls like jonross... they're just "morans".

You're in your 50's and use language like that?

My word, what is wrong with aOSU fans? Sheesh.

johnross, if that's the level of discourse you get on Buckeye blogs, no wonder you're here.

Try to grow up and act your age olddude.
