CC - John Calipari

Top five recruiting class every year. Only one national title to show for. Folks down south are getting tired of him. He is losing to Oakland as we speak - if he’s out the first weekend of March Madness (again) I think he will have a very hot seat. Let’s bring him in and restructure Michigan basketball.

Kentucky's only won one tournament game in five years. I can think of at least one out-of-work coach who won five times that many, and with less talent.

The next CC thread where the coach is in the tourney, I'm putting $100 on the other teams money line.  CSU, McNeese, Kentucky.  Someone quickly make a CC: Tom Izzo thread.

Do you really think a team with a bunch of highly recruited freshmen works in 2024?

Calipari's strategy isn't really working as far as I can tell and bringing it to Michigan won't work either.

Come on, man. We’re all happy for the Golden Grizzlies and glad UK received a well-deserved quick exit but if 1 March Madness upset is enough to go straight to HC short list, Michigan has a lot of coaches to call.

Also if a majority of folks assume your university is in a different state based off the name alone, I’d say pump the brakes before scheduling the interview.

Im also a die hard UK fan. For Michigan sake, do not take him! His coaching is done. This was beyond a disappointment of a year.

- 2 potential top 5 picks. Lost to an Oakland team

- 1 player averaging 20+ points

- D was 105 ranked.

-2/3 years he’s lost to 14 and 15 seeds.
- inbound plays non existent

This is the feeling of Brady hoke era where nothing can be done and just have to ride along with it. Cal is a phenomenal recruiter but has clearly shown that his assistants were the ones coaching during his successful years. This is an embarrassment losing again, in the first round, with this talent. I want him gone but hope you guys do not get him.

He would be nothing without 5 stars and he wouldn't have the NIL support or facilities to lure them here like he can st Kentucky. Kentucky basketball players live the high life.

Calipari? You can't be serious!  He has been wasting talent for more than a decade, he is old, and based upon his latest failure against Oakland (being totally outcoached) he really doesn't care to coach his team anymore.  His hiring would delay our program for as long as he was here.

Only Painter has done less with more. Also, for those that have contacts in the AD, they know that a coach, that looks like Calipari, will never be hired by Warde.
