Why not run the psyop? And the news about what Thamel knew and didn't know, would have loved that info before. We dropped stuff about OSU/Purdue/Rutgers sharing signs back in November, but not this.

We didn't even put this in the public now. This is all because of what Alabama said, and then we basically had to defend ourselves by simply saying, we're not under investigation.

This was dropped at the same time--I think it was the day before Thanksgiving that stalbombs reported that OSU had PSU and Maryland's practice video in 2022. It got enough internet traction that I was able to sort of put together a plausible story out of the scuttlebutt: word of it had gotten out somehow among other Catapult employees, management knew the allegations and was taking it seriously, one of those other Catapult employees was a former Michigan guy which I'm guessing was how we knew about it in the first place. Other schools no doubt got some pieces of it too (Maryland, for one).

Depending on just how seriously management was taking the allegations, they probably got counsel involved at that point. And their insurer's counsel. And law enforcement. If you start to suspect some of your employees might have committed a business-threatening crime, there are some phone calls you have to make.

I'm not surprised things went silent.

Nothing actually linked to OSU other than hopeful rumors right now.

But something’s up.

BTW if you believe your IT has been compromised and used against other teams you lose trust in that IT, even if the team you’re playing is not alleged to be the issue. The tech itself is poison.

This is a huge, huge problem for Catapult going forward if there’s anything to it. If teams can’t trust you with their sensitive info you don’t have a business.

Coincidentally, I’m reading a book about world history called The Silk Roads. This morning I read about the Mongols using catapults to fire deceased soldiers into besieged cities. The soldiers had died as a result of the black plague. The Mongols thought that the smell of the dead would cause the city to surrender. Instead, the city dwellers contracted the plague and died. There’s an analogy in there somewhere, but I’m not going there.

Soooooo......I guess in this case the NCAA wants to keep the name of the school being investigated under wraps, because........?

WTF?

Last time they blasted it out to the whole world to maximum negative impact.
