That nipple is pointing just fine imo

I've seen that look before

I love to see content like this. Good for him, glad he’s getting healthy for himself and his family.

Glazed donuts may only be consumed on football Saturdays and only if you make it to your seat on time.
September 30th, 2020 at 8:33 PM ^
Remember he didn't eat until after games were played, even for night games
September 30th, 2020 at 11:48 PM ^
I wonder if that was part of the problem. More prone to stress eating carbohydrates and larger amounts of calories after games of course, and at night your body's less likely to need the calories anyway.
September 30th, 2020 at 6:38 PM ^
Wow he lost a lot of weight.
Good for him. Couldn't recognize him almost.
September 30th, 2020 at 8:53 PM ^
See? Decent post, makes me wanna like you
September 30th, 2020 at 6:39 PM ^
So looks like he did walk from California to Michigan after all.
September 30th, 2020 at 6:53 PM ^
That or clapped a LOT.
Glad to see him in good shape!
September 30th, 2020 at 10:25 PM ^
I think it's the return walk to San Diego that did it.
September 30th, 2020 at 6:39 PM ^
Brady meet Matt, perhaps you could talk defense and calories...or maybe just stick to calories please.
September 30th, 2020 at 8:12 PM ^
I won't make fun of Patricia for his weight. I will, on the other hand, make fun of him for dressing like he just slept in a dirty laundry hamper. With all that money, you'd think they could find him a sideline jacket that fits.
September 30th, 2020 at 8:29 PM ^
just got to know where to shop...

Patricia wears the latest Nike muumuus.

Bro...Belichick

He’s trying to emulate Belichick. Needs to cut the sleeves off and needs some holes in the clothes.

Way to go, Coach Hoke! You're not with the team, but you're still in the family! Here's to continued success!
September 30th, 2020 at 6:44 PM ^
He was healthy but not fully healthy.
September 30th, 2020 at 6:57 PM ^
Can he wear a headset now
September 30th, 2020 at 7:08 PM ^
That's impressive for a guy in his 60s. Wonder what his secret is?
I had an uncle who was close to 300 most of his life then went on a super strict no sugar diet and now looks like this. I know it works, but I just can't avoid stress eating and drinking.
September 30th, 2020 at 7:15 PM ^
The key is to replace the bad habits with good habits. It keeps your mind focused on something else besides the cravings. Could be anything from going for a walk, learning another language, or any number of other activities.
If any of those seem tame to you, try cocaine. It's a hell of a drug!
September 30th, 2020 at 7:44 PM ^
Carbs are the enemy! I lost 55 since January just be cutting out carbs. No exercise needed.
September 30th, 2020 at 8:59 PM ^
Depends on the carbs. Not all carbs are created equal.
potatoes, beans, whole wheat pasta and rice are good carbs. White bread and doughnuts you can do without.
Congratulations Coach Hoak. I am proud if you.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:19 PM ^
My cardiologist would argue that any white carb, white rice, potatoes, wheat products..., are bad carbs.
In a follow up visit immediately after my LAD blockage was successfully reduced, I mentioned to my Cardiologist that the hospital menu included "Heart Healthy" baked potato. At which my doctor chuckled saying, no such thing.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:43 PM ^
I don't think it's fair to put potatoes with processed food like white rice.
September 30th, 2020 at 11:38 PM ^
Get a new Cardiologist. Nothing wrong with a plain baked potato, just don’t add the butter, sour cream, bacon bits, cheese, etc.
October 1st, 2020 at 8:13 AM ^
Correct. Most Doctors don't know much about nutrition. They are good at prescribing drugs though.
October 1st, 2020 at 6:03 PM ^
Add a sweet potato/yam instead.
October 1st, 2020 at 4:25 AM ^
Being a cardiologists does not also make one a nutritionist. Your body needs carbs such as baked potatoes, but in moderate amounts, and not topped with lots of saturated fats.
October 1st, 2020 at 9:56 AM ^
Your body doesn't actually need carbs. They are not an essential nutrient. Your body will make as much sugar as it needs through gluconeogenesis, using fat, protein, lactic acid, etc.
I'm not saying you shouldn't ever eat carbs. I'm just saying the body doesn't REQUIRE us to consume carbs in order to function.
October 1st, 2020 at 4:31 PM ^
I need italian/french bread and red wine...can’t live w/out those ... also butter/olive oil on the bread...just sayin’
October 1st, 2020 at 5:10 PM ^
In order to be healthy your body absolutely does need carbs, though it's better to get complex carbohydrates from whole grains and fruits and vegetables than simple carbohydrates from sugar or fruit juice. There are also many other nutrients, such as essential fatty acids, vitamins and fiber found in complex carbohydrates that your body needs access to in order to be healthy., although yes, you are correct that your body will convert fat and protein to energy in order to function. Its just not as efficient at doing that.

Good for you man! I went lower carb a year ago and lost 20lbs with almost no effort. The main thing for me was switching from beer and wine to Vodka and cutting out chips and stuff. I snack on peanuts, almonds now. Distilled spirits contain no carbs.
September 30th, 2020 at 7:47 PM ^
Intermittent fasting is the new thing, and it’s worked for me. Eat whatever the heck you want, just do it in a window of 8-hours or less. It’s hard at first, but it gets easier; much easier than NEVER eating treats or never drinking beer. Eventually, you’ll be confident enough to incorporate some exercise in there and have a few “super fast” days, when your window is 4 hours or less.
I’ve lost plenty of weight, and feel no stress about this lifestyle.
September 30th, 2020 at 8:59 PM ^
Glad to hear it's working. I don't doubt that it is effective for some people, like many weight loss strategies, but the first decent randomized trial of intermittent fasting was just published and it didn't have a significant effect.

I'm into intermittent fasting 22/2 or OMAD (one meal a day) and low carb/high fat...Two years running to date along with 2 years of blood work..Believe what you want, but for me it has changed my life (probably saved it)..I see it in results from my blood work....My body is fat adapted so I no longer have hunger cravings...it's just a life style for me that has become easy to follow and at age 76 I take only medication for thyroid.....also walk 6-7 miles every day...
September 30th, 2020 at 8:02 PM ^
Another trick is to cut out the stress
September 30th, 2020 at 9:15 PM ^
I'll try that for 2021.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:25 PM ^
Keto diet will naturally result in less of a desire to stress eat and you will feel full longer after meals. And if you decide to binge eat, just pig out on keto foods. I'll do that with soft boiled eggs. I don't worry about calorie consumption at all.
September 30th, 2020 at 9:38 PM ^
I’ve lost 33 lbs since May on low carb and largely agree on the calorie thing. If I eat a container of mixed nuts (60 oz.) , which is like 30,000 calories , in a day and a half I still maintain my weight.
September 30th, 2020 at 10:34 PM ^
Yeah, nuts are tricky. Some are better than others for carb content, but I consider nuts a treat and not part of what i normally consider eating. Pretty much keep the fridge stocked with eggs, pickles of all kinds, cured meats, cheeses, mustards, Japanese mayo, and veggies. Plenty of canned tuna and sardines on the shelf and a deep freezer full of all kinds of meat and seafood. With so much other stuff available, it's usually pretty easy to grab something filling that fits the bill. This can get hard when the kids have chips, rice, and candy/chocolate in the house.
September 30th, 2020 at 11:07 PM ^
Eating all those nuts will cause large sized dumps. This of course is good for losing mass, via the colon.
