Need to put up massive signs on every building around that would be in camera view that says "Fuck ESPN".  Do this early Saturday morning.  All those frats nearby - that's your action item for the game.

I don't know much about prior locations for sets, but this seems like maybe a subtle message being sent to ESPN.  For the 2021 game, I walked down Stadium Drive and could see the GameDay stage in the Pioneer field.  Then I walked around the stadium, and I'm 99% sure the Big Noon stage was set up on the stadium grounds (NE corner - near corner of Keech Ave / Kipke Dr).  I have no idea if there's a rotational schedule or contractual elements of this decision, but seeing GameDay at Ferry Field made me at least hope we're finding ways to say "Screw You" to the ESPN folks.  Seems like Pioneer is a better spot if you want to get a big crowd closer to the stadium?

Shouldn't even provide the location for E$PN. Fuck them. Not even sure why the U would give them space; make them broadcast from the parking lot at Briarwood.

I disagree with a GameDay boycott.  At our own field, we should have thousands of Michigan fans and alums mercilessly heckling and harassing the GameDay crew (except Desmond).  We should have a sign game the likes of which have never been seen, and Ohio State fans should be overwhelmed in size and sound.

I do subscribe to a business boycott of all things ESPN and Ohio, but when they're on our campus don't let them off the hook.

I kind of agree with this - attend with signs like Thamel is an OSU Shill and Paul is a Sniveling Click Whore and Extra SEC Propaganda Network and Ryan Day is such a chicken he hired a PI firm and cried to the B1G so he didn’t have to play Harbaugh again and Petitti the Puppet.

Everyone stand with their backs turned in silence except when Desmond speaks. Until Fox starts up and then leave.

If it’s boycotted it only becomes an osu fest.   Should be there in disruptive force.  Can we go fund me enough money for bullhorns for all M fans. Or sailing horns?

No doubt that ESPN will use the opportunity of being in Ann Arbor to produce excellent and even-handed content reviewing both Michigan and OSU's seasons to date...

Who am I kidding?  They will continue their hatchet job and I hope our media relations team doesn't let any of our players speak with them.

I'm a fan of professional wrestling.  I've watched enough interviews with professional wrestlers that state that they don't care about whether they get cheered or booed.  The thing they dread is NO reaction.

So while I understand the worry about Ohio State fans taking over GameDay, the best thing to do, IMO, is either to boycott or go and not react at all.  Remember, McAfee came to ESPN straight from commentating on WWE for around a year, and he can fully play the heel if that's the way the crowd goes.

The most likely scenario is that twitter and message boards aren't real life and the atmosphere will be similar to other shows for GameDay.

Much like professional wrestling on TV, they can make the atmosphere seem to be however they want it to appear.

Honestly though I don’t understand why they are coming. It’s just going to be unpleasant.  Just go to Gainesville or something.  More people aren’t going to watch it because it’s in Ann Arbor.  People who want to watch a pregame show for this game are going to watch the one that’s on the channel the game is on.

Nobody wants them here and it’s a terrible product.  If they wanted to be here for this game they shouldn’t have acted like assholes.  If Michigan can still retract or rescind the permit they should do it.

i wouldn’t have gone to this if you’d paid me to do it, but that has nothing to do with anything lately.  espn has been a blight on all sports, for years and years, and gameday has been unwatchable for years. to each his own, i guess

that said - if you would’ve gone otherwise, just go. don’t rob yourself of joy. boycotting because you’re mad about something someone wrote will have zero effect. life’s too short, man. go.

It really depends on where you’re coming from.

Pioneer is fine for the tailgaters on the south side of the stadium.   But, if you’re coming from campus - Ferry Field is sort of along the way.

Ferry Field will have tailgaters, but.. IMO.. it’s tucked away - not “on the path” to the stadium - like Elbel Field would be.
