The Best Question to ask a Sparty

The ramifications of Mark Dantonio's very late departure remain a big fuck you to our...ahem...friends in East Lansing. In the Dantonio induced panic of a coaching search they find Mel Tucker, who had yet to accomplish anything as a college head coach and doubled his money so they have somebody to be their coach. Mel then improbably wins every close game in his first real season with a Heisman caliber running back out of the portal and parlays fools gold into $95 million of real gold. Then things crash back down to earth, the team looks dreadful (an understatement) in back to back blowouts and the $95 million man is now a self-proclaimed horseshit coach. And the then eminently gettable Lance Leipold is now 4-0 at Kansas. 

So my question to Sparty is...y'all Tucked in bed nice and happy?

I'm convinced that LSU offered Tucker the head coaching job and that Tucker took that offer to MSU to see if they would match it. [To me it was not a coincidence that Brian Kelly got the same deal which Tucker received.] As you pointed out, MSU had just recently been through a coaching search where everyone had said no thanks and they circled back to Tucker and had to sweeten the offer to get him to jump. When the new contract was announced MSU had not been blown out by Ohio State and Purdue yet so MSU with a gun to their head on whether they commit or not is looking at a coach who is winning and the next man up may not be as good. What they ended up with is Brady Hoke.

Crisler - before our children were born - and, I (then my wife and I) lived in the city, Buddy Guy’s was a regular destination,  We were there during the summer - starting with an acoustic set - and, it’s character hasn’t changed - still fantastic.

Tonight I am seeing some Spartys start to question whether Tucker was worth $95M.  I love it.  I hope his contract hangs around the program for a full decade.
