Unfortunately the Big Ten won't do jack. Big ten basketball officiating has been shit for as long as I have been watching. It's not just a Michigan problem, it is pretty much a given as a road team in the Big Ten that you are going to have to overcome both the opponent and the officials on the road. The reason this one was worse than usual is because the refs handed PSU points on techinal free throws for being called out on their incompetence. At the very least you don't expect that to happen even on the road. But no way in hell the Big Ten addresses the problem of their officials being dogshit, it's not right, but that is what the outcome will be.

Michigan wins by 3 if the refs don't gift PSU 9 points on Neighborhood of Make-Believe Calls. These refs were brutal tonight and they will probably get graded poorly as officials. There is a reason Lewis Garrison has never worked any post season games.

You missed at least 3 6-counts when PSU was struggling to inbound.

I pulled out the stopwatch to take my bias out of it. 5.9 seconds on the play where the call was reversed to being off of Simpson. 4.8 on the subsequent inbound, at least. A full 5.0 seconds on one when the time out was called.

Just finished watching the game on DVR after a work dinner. The officiating was terrible, but it would not have mattered if we made a few of our open shots!

And the missed open shots wouldn’t have mattered with average Officiating
