I was just about to be a high school freshman back then and had no awareness of anything involving Woodstock until after the fact.

The story is long, complicated and boring and it's mostly about fulfilling additional college pre-med requirements by taking summer courses that year. At least I got to see the first U. S. concert performance of Blind Faith at Madison Square Garden in July 1969. So, as noted groundskeeper Carl Spackler likes to say, "I've got that goin' for me, which is nice."

My kids went to school on Tuesday and that was it for the week. Monday was the minor snowstorm, and of course, Wednesday through today stems from Polar Vortex 2019. Of course, the message they left last night was different - "the cold temperatures have affected transportation", which my wife and I took to mean that, as we stood there, someone was sticking heat lamps under the buses seeing if various lines would unfreeze.
