Before he took over control of the Lions. I remember them saying he was likely to replace Madden when it was his time to retire. Instead he made a bad situation worse.
Boy, he sure messed his career trajectory up as bad as he did for Detroit.

Will never undersand why everyone on the board gets so lathered over who's calling the game, just mute and enjoy.

I will never understand people who think telling others to mute the game is a viable suggestion. Hearing dimwit announcers is preferable to not hearing any of the crowd noise, the bands, and the football. Cutting out the sound of college football is cutting out a huge chunk of the experience.
